So we got to meet last night their new show jeff and jessica growing. The dynasty now theyre here for their very first live interview since that big news. But first lets take a look at the moment.
When baby gus is welcomed into the family. Were all gonna hold it oh. Hes so big what a big boy yard.
And i want to thank you all so much for he has brought an army yes. We did again we got a lot of people.
We got a lot of kids and congratulations on all the great news that thats going on here lives right now want to start with baby. Gus yeah. It was addition of course you just adopted and i wanted to ask you jessica.
I know that after your fourth kid. You had some health issues that prevented you from being able to get pregnant again. So what what what made you decide to adopt seven years later.
This beautiful little boy well we am. It really was on my heart for many many years and probably you know when river is about three or four hours like oh. I just feel like this is something we need to do and the more opportunities.
We that were presented as far as like helping you know the less fortunate or you know around in our neighborhoods or you know going overseas shut. Their mission trips and the the urge got heavier and heavier and really jet came in one day. And said.
You know what and this was about a year and a half ago. He said i feel like god put this on your heart for a reason.
He doesnt plant those seeds for you know for nothing. And and this is definitely a god thing and really after that we we said okay. We waited a little bit longer and then we went talked to the adoption agency and and so we started that whole process and you know it was a long journey.
But he finally came in our line. I wanted to full basketball. I was gonna say fives a nice round number and hows little baby gus been integrating into the family.
Im like awesome he is the best baby that really seriously you can spoil. The child. We are definitely too with love.
Im telling you he that theres not an hour that goes by that hes not kissed or tony yeah. Hes love well hes got four beautiful brothers and sisters i have to ask you guys. Whats the best part about having a brand new baby brother.
Whats so fun about it guys anybody yeah. Probably im having like bottles okay.
Which is important yes. And shes an excellent changer of diapers. Oh really it comes in berry is a skill that we have to work obviously helps you guys out as well.
When you have your own basketball team. Yeah. I definitely have to ask you obviously your father got in some hot water back in 2013.
But it made some inflammatory racial remarks. Whats his reaction been to this adoption. And is he welcoming of the brand new addition.
He is and you know hes always said you know i guess this never got quoted. He says. Were all part of one race the human race says that quite often so he loves him man.
Hes loving. I got to congratulate you guys on not just the adoption.
But on the brand new show which aired of course last night. Jeff and jessica growing. The dynasty tell us a little bit about it uh.
Its just our crazy lives. I mean like i always said like to it gets kind of tough three youre kind of like and by the fourth one comes. Its like whatever and then the fifth when its like okay.
We have a lot of kids. This is its tough. But awesome it i think its a great show and its got a little bit of a different kind of style duck dynasty is a good make you feel good you know you always gonna have good.
Laughs. That our show will be its a little more real and like light out there for you to where its not um. You know maybe not every episode.
Theres gonna be some tears actually im a crier thanks so i think that youre gonna delve a little bit more into our lives and just the everyday life and struggles as a mom and dad and you know now that weve expanded our families.
