And it s fantastic. I use this around the house. Either with warm or cold drink in it and with the additional drinking straw. It s a very nice sort of drinking bottle to have around all the time.
But you can imagine that with 32 ounces. It s a bit big to take with you especially in a car or some kind of communication. Luckily hydra flash has come up with these these are the 16 ounce white mouth bottles there s also a 12 and 20 ounce available and these are especially designed with coffee or tea drinkers in mind. And it s not so much the bottle itself.
But more the special flip lid that flips open like so and gives you a very convenient. One handed operated drinking solution now. We re going to take a closer look at see about the tech inside and see if it s actually worth your money and it is as convenient as they promised it to be alright. So here we are up close with the hydra flask white mouth 16 ounce version now these are especially aimed at coffee and tea drinkers like i already said with the flip lid that we ll get to in a minute.
It also comes in a twenty and a 12 ounce version and since this fits on the all widemouth bottles. You can really go as big as you want. But then it becomes a lot less portable and you can imagine when you re putting this in the cup holder of your car..

You can t really fit one. That is 32 ounces or even bigger. So this is a very good size now technology wise. They re exactly the same like all the bottles that huayra fasiq makes so you can expect a double walled vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle.
Which obviously has a whole range of benefits when you have a cold drink in here because it s double walled. It won t sweat on the outside meaning you re not losing in temperature. And you re not getting your bag wet or your car and the same steel. Obviously is also nice to keep your flavors out of the material.
You can imagine with a plastic bottle it soaks up the material. A lot more that you put in to your bottle. That said. Though if you put coffee in here on a regular basis.
The smell will get into it and it tastes as well maybe not so much in the bottle itself. But the lid is plastic. So that s a bit more susceptible to picking up flavors. So if you re using this as a coffee bottle.
I think. It s best to stick with coffee because you ll definitely notice that once you put water in it ll have a coffee flavor now this is the pacific blue and the mango o version with a white hydra flask logo on the front. That s really older is to see it comes in a bunch of other colors as well..

So you can certainly find something that fits your own taste. But start. The show here is obviously the lid. As you can see it sits nicely flush with the bottle and hydra flask is pretty proud that it s a one handed operation system so you can just flip it open like this and you can see the drinking hole right there.
And there s an air hole. There as well and you can even. See the little extra sticking out here that goes into the pole. So it is completely leak proof.
So you have to worry especially in a car and that it will leak on you. But i personally really like is that it has a bit of an edge here so whenever you re drinking something hot you sort of once you put it on your lips. You want to sort of sample. The the temperature a little bit before bringing your mouth so it s actually quite nice.
There s a bit of distance here. So it doesn t directly touch this your lips. So you can either blow on it a little bit and be careful with what you re drinking. Which is a nice touch.
It also clicks in place on this side. There s a little extra lip here hope you can see in the camera. So if you want to keep it open you know that works as well it s a very good system..

It s a simple system. But it s very effective and it works yeah pretty well with one hand you can open and close it like so so you can imagine when you re driving this is quite easy to operate. There s bottles with some kind of push system as well which i suppose in theory works. But this is you know very simple and i always think that simple is better because there s less to break less to go wrong.
It s very effective. So why not now since the lid is plastic like i mentioned. This is all stainless steel. You ll lose most heat through the top there s just no way around it that s just you know the nature of the beast.
That s it it does really keep your drink warm or cold for quite a while the times that hydra fest claims. Yeah. They re pretty much true. But i have to make a side note that if you put boiling hot tea in here for example.
And you keep it closed. It ll stay warm for a very long time. But obviously you ll be sipping. This as you go along and you can imagine that the less liquid is in here.
The less there is to keep everything else warm and obviously longer. This is open the more heat will escape as well so when you re you know sipping and drinking on the go. This is definitely not last as long as hydra flasks claims those claims are really when you have it completely full with a lid shut and in your bag..

So be aware of that same goes for cold. You know when it s all closed up. No problem. It stays cold for quite long especially.
When you put some ice cubes in here. But as soon as you start opening it up and drinking from it you can imagine. It warms up not very fast clearly not as fast as you know an actual paper cup full of coffee or you know something like that. But it s something to take into consideration other than that i like it it s a great bottle it gives you a bit of variety in terms of colors.
Which is nice it gives you a bit of choice in terms of size. Which is great and i think the flip lid works really well one handed operation. It really is what it is and i think it s a great bottle to have when you you know commute commute a lot and like to have your drink. What are called on the go.
