“You guys gonna have a fix it video here for windows 10 this one is is how to fix some settings are managed by your organization. So when i open my settings pane here and i go to update and security of the top here you ll see some settings are managed by your organization in red here. When i click on view configuration update policies. You ll see it s pointing towards the group policy.
Here and that means this might be a group policy setting in place now. I know there is no group policies settings in place on this system. So. What i m gonna do is show you a quick way to fix and resolve this problem so first off.
We re going to go to gp edit. And i m not the group policy editor and i ll show you how to quickly resolve this problem. Here. So we re gonna open up this let me open it up so you can see it a lot more clearer.
There we go go to computer configuration down to administrative templates. Then you want to come down to windows components. I ve clicked on all settings here. But you want to go to windows components.
Here there we go and once you click on when those components come down to where it says windows update. Here and just check inside here just to make sure. There is no configuration in here done on any of the windows updates here. The one.
We re looking for here is do not include drives for windows updates. Just going to quickly apply this enable and then what we re going to do here is quickly go into again. And we re gonna go to not configured again somewhere along the line. Something has gone wrong here with the setting.
I m not sure what s happened. But another one you can check here. Which is another common one is inside here go back up. And what we want to do is go back up to the top erases.
Data. Collection and preview builds inside here. You re gonna see allow tool. Emma.
Tree. Just put in able and go to full apply. This. And then click okay also now once we ve done that you re going to need to force that set in to make it change and then we can revert back so open up the command.
Prompt or i type in cmd in the search and run this as administrator once we ve got this open new command. Prompt box will open up here. And what we re going to do here. It s gonna put gp update space.
A forward slash force and just push enter here and this will update. The policy once we ve updated the policy. We can then go back into our local group policy editor and then we can open up. The allow and limit or e.
And go to not configured here and then apply and ok and the replete and repeat the process here by going back into here and type in here. Gp update space forward slash force push enter and this will update. The policy. There we go and hopefully.
When we close this off here and close off the group policy editor. So there was no policy set in place. It s just that the setting had been confused so we re going to go back into the settings. Pane and windows updates.
And as you can see here. Now. The error message is gone and we don t have that message on the screen anymore. And now the windows update should work properly.
And everything else should be working as it should do and that s basically how you can resolve that issue. It s a very quick and easy simple fix now if you don t have the windows 10 pro and you got windows 10 home go back into the settings pane here go into privacy and inside privacy. You want to go down to it says. Diagnostic and feedback inside there you want to click on this one.
And you should see your basic and full information. Here just do the same thing try to put it on to full and rebuild the system and then when you reboot the system go back in and put it back on to basic information. And then hopefully that should resolve your issue. If it doesn t then let me know on the discord or in the comment section.
