The story by saying. What essentially happened at best buy. So i was on the hot seat for about three weeks after the initial sales induction basically a best buy you go through this like sales induction type of course where they ship you to a different store and then it you know you stay there for like a week or weekend and they basically go through all the training modules. How to sell what to sell different ways to approach people so that you know you you get the right response.
Things like that now and get too in depth with that but essentially after i came back from that i just from one assistant manager in general and sabrina can attest to it like this guy just had my number. But he was just one of those guys so you know like we all make mistakes of spirit like we re human and like with certain things like rss or oms. I fear from best value. Know exactly i m talking about you you you know sometimes.
It s hard to do that things like every single time correctly like so..
Our supervisors basically wanted to do like different things like crw is on every single 40 inch. That we sold and i mean. It s kinda impractical and it s not really a point for these things you know i mean like i can see you saying. Oh you know i don t know a mess or you know make sure you you know you had two customers details and stuff like that yeah.
It makes perfect sense. And i do a crw on that it s logical. But 44 like a 40 inch every 40 inch resale. What s gonna happen to that crw.
We re going to throw it away so you know it s like what s the point of really doing it. But even some even things like that i will do cr w. s and stuff like that like it just did what they said and you know any situation that you know he could he d be like oh you know you gotta do this different you do that different. I m like bro come on bike.
I m out here busting my ass on the sales and literally the customers are always right and they would agree with me like every customer love me. I had an nps score of 100 the whole entire time. I still have a hundred and you know that that s that s proof right there and on top of it like i got like how many business cards of people that will really like you know you re the one on his salesman. That that actually gave me the product that i needed i just up sold me to something that i didn t really need that out that i probably wouldn t have liked it end of the day and if you got to compromise your honesty and integrity to you know for job than i thought that jobs not really for you you know i mean so yeah.
And ironically one of these one of these customers actually was a bmw sales manager shout out to you yeah i put you in a video..
And he was like yo you know you you can you got a lot more potential than the shop. So you know if you ever need you know want to make a lot more money than you make in here. Just you know give me a shout out whatever it so you know i got you and i took them up on their offer. So essentially that s probably where you can see me now.
But let me fix. It where this is on on the story right here so like me being really on to the customers like in certain cases. You know they would definitely say that today be like you know you you should stop you know down selling the customers you know i m like how you got told somebody to stop selling things like literally or i m marrying the customers. And you know if you work at best buy that s exactly the terminology used where you spend quote unquote too much time with a customer who would say how much is too much time with the customer so my last day.
It was perfect because it was this customer came in and she was a very peculiar customer because she said i quote unquote like oh i want a mid range tv. So you know me being mean. I literally show her the most mid range of tv s like possible. Which was the samsung 7000 series.
And i m explaining the specs and things like that and she s like oh that s pretty nice. She s like but i want x 1. And z 2. So then i bumped her up to the 8000 series and essentially and i was explaining to about that and she was like in love with this tv.
So i m like buzzy blah..
Here s options things like that then after the point of like you know building her trust and things like that she s like she s like i ve just i trust anything you say like you tell me if i need it and i get it and right before we had like literally already had our accessories. We held the extra stuff and she s like you told. Me you were going to show me the sony s too so i ended up walk over to sony s and we looked at seven nine inch. And because she s actually went to 65 or 70 inch.
And the 79 inch was just was was speaking to her apparently so i m telling the features about it and whatever she s like you got it i want that tv then i was like oh. But hold on a sec. You know i model better than that though right she was i telling you tell me about it. So it s all about that boom ended up selling her the tv.
That is not even at best buy at magnolia. Like this is like top tier tvs fe. No tv. And we had to essentially own massive and we have we got it to her that last cell on me was eight thousand dollars from any store that s crazy so just to prove to you that like you know any it s not like i m not a boss at sales.
I can sell anything yeah so essentially that couple with the the whole like selling potential things. Like that is kind of why i was basically presented with this ultimatum. Which was like you can either quit or you know we re gonna have to fire you eventually type thing you know i mean and just to like alleviate that i was like okay. Uh uh.
Then i just quit you know me like i make it nice and easy cuz..
I may i looked at my schedule for that next upcoming week and i only have one day on the schedule. Which was like saturday which is a week away so i was like you know they like best buy they don t really fire you they just weed you out they just literally just will stop scheduling you for days. So i was like just leave it all that i m just gonna you know quit make it nice and easy and then with that job lined up to so. I m gonna have work study and and the dealership job.
So i ll be making a lot more money anyway just to say some of the things. That s what i want to know honest thing it just it just seems like they have a different agenda sometimes and i mean it s that s them i m not gonna really put them at fault. Like it s not every best buy was like that i ve worked on multiple best buys this this one s a little bit more on the shaky side and if you if you don t agree i mean you can go look at the reviews on anything google or yelp. Look at the south beach location.
And you notice that it s like really lower rated than the other best buy s and i mean you can kind of see it in different passes of the company. But i mean that s neither here nor there you know i m not here to bad mouth any company exactly so um. I just want to tell you guys my story about how i quit best spot.
