All right i just wanted to do a quick public service announcement. I’ve seen seen so many clickbait youtubers out there trying to tell you when cars are coming finally got an official date. In fact.
I saw a video. This morning. One of my subs tweeted.
Me one and it literally said cars are out today here’s the trailer and it was just mickey mouse bull squash totally click bait totally fake unbelievable some of these content creators not me though we have the official date as tweeted out by the official. Twitter account as you can see here.
It says. It’s not just a name. It’s a warning experience.
The fortnight joyride update on 8 5. 20. 20.
That’s august 5th. Or in two days this wednesday.
Now it does not give us a time. But normally we get these updates. Super super early in the morning.
So maybe two in the morning on that early early wednesday morning. I think that’s usually how it works at least. But 8 5.
20. 20 cars are coming.
And you can see they tweeted out a picture of the whiplash. The whiplash as stewie griffin would say now. It’s not just a coincidence they picked this date.
Because august 5th is also season five of call of duty modern warfare warzone funny how that works out right when warzone gets a huge seasonal update then fortnite decides hey let’s release cars on this date. How awesome is that though that takes away the thunder from warzone. And it adds a bit of lightning for fortnite now.
Just in case. You’ve been living under a rock for a while these are the cars that were teased at the beginning of the season.
We thought they’d be coming out sooner. Rather than later and unfortunately season. 3.
Is almost 75 80 percent. Over already. And we have yet to see them.
The gas stations are complete everything is in order. We just need these cars to launch on the map.
This wednesday. Now. I don’t know anything about the spawns yes.
They took out almost every single car in the game. But will all those cars be drivable. I don’t know there’s no way there’s going to be that many vehicles that are drivable on the map.
That’s just way too many. But i also don’t know if it’s going to be as limited as say the choppers.
There’s only like what four or five choppers on the entire map are cars gonna be that rare. I don’t know there’s plenty of these gas stations. So maybe there will be a billion cars on the map.
Now i have seen some data mined information about damage and things like that and they look pretty powerful. Now. If you’ve played call of duty war zone.
Then you’ll know that you can get insta killed in that game if you get ran over i don’t know if it’s gonna be like that here in fortnite. We’ll have to wait and see i do know based on the numbers that if one of these explodes and you’re nearby.
It’s almost certainly an instant death or so i thought so based on what i could find it says the larger cars for example. The truck will obviously have more health. It looks like small cars will have 800 health medium will have a thousand and large cars will have 1200 and obviously with all these new gas stations.
They will all require fuel to run now obviously they should spawn with some. But then you’ll have to gather some and put it in the cars. Now one thing to note.
They also should grant you material. But from everything i’ve read it says you only gain metal.
It says here you gain metal. When you hit stuff similar to the brute. But in the brute you can get wood brick and metal.
So i don’t know why this just says metal now this says when driving the car. If you hit a player. So.
Hard you can bounce out of the car it’ll deal 200 damage when it explodes from close range and 50 from long range. If you hit a player they bounce.
Then it says players can also shoot while holding a petrol jerry can if it explodes it will deal 99 damage to players and 250 to vehicles so i don’t know it doesn’t give us all the details there some of these sound. Very powerful. Some of them maybe not so much so we’ll just have to wait and see it doesn’t say what happens if you just run someone straight over if they actually die right away or not but considering it did mention that they can bounce that tells me right there it shouldn’t be a one hit kill if you smoosh someone.
But we’ll just have to wait and see so that’s all there is to it this wednesday august 5th 2020. We finally get cars introduced to chapter two season three let me know in the comments. Which car you’re gonna drive first i’m aiming for the whiplash itself.
