network drop This is a topic that many people are looking for. bluevelvetrestaurant.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Testing A Network Drop At The Patch Panel. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“The wallplate here and if you notice the damage. I was caused by the owner owner attempt to move the existing box out of the wall itself. It was a connection and those are being replaced with network drops. The damage is cosmetic and that can be fixed.
However the wall plate itself was installed and tested it worked fine for about 24 hours during that 24 hour time period. Some wire management took place at the patch panel level and at that point this network drop did lose its connectivity. So i m thinking that the problem is going to be lying in the patch panel itself some punch down came loose..
But we re going to go ahead and test the complete drop again now this jumper here is perfectly good. It s been tested so what i m going to be doing. I m. Using.
8. The fluke meter micro scanner. And is confused..
Right. Here. The micro scanner. So a great device for testing.
Network cables and telephone lines. I m going to be using the top part of it here as you can see has coax and also an ethernet plug. I m just going to plug the existing jumper into the ethernet plug as just like so and i can get to focus there and i m going to leave that on the floor..
And now i m going to go test. It at the patch panel level and i ll see where the connectivity problem lies and i like i said i suspect it s going to be a loose punch down its patch panel. Okay i m at the data rack. Where the patch camera was mounted located for 24.
Which is indicated on the back wall plate that was afforded is connected to the 24th right here. So i will unplug. The existing jumper and just go ahead and plug in the jumper cable between the flute leader and the port itself wait for reading and sure enough it s showing error messages as you can see on the front panel..
The pollutant leader and this just means if somehow the cables have come loose probably during water maintenance. So i ll probably just go ahead and pull those tables off the 424 in the back of the patch panel and rhe punch them and we should be good to go at that point okay. This is just been a brief tutorial on how to test the network connection between a wall plate in another room or another floor and the patch panels. It s attached to plain and simple not hard to do it all thank you for watching.
