So linkedin is a great place for b2b business to business. It s na great place to prospect. And it s a great place for people to respond and nbecome your customers. But you got to do it the right way so i want to kind of nsummarize.
What i ve talked about in another video and then we ll go into a nlittle bit deeper on parts that i haven t filled a steep before so on nlinkedin. There s a simple way to reach out to new people. And that s by sending nthem. A connection or a quest right i ve seen that i ve done that i ve tried it nand not always successfully it gives you the opportunity to create a custom nmessage for them and linkedin will actually encourage you to do that nyou want to see some custom thing.
There s going to be more likely to nrespond the answer is yes. You do want to do that and in a previous video. Which ni ll remind you here the best way the best type of message is one that s a nhundred percent complimenting them you don t reference yourself. Who you are nwhat you do why you re messaging them i like that you don t do anything about nyourself or what you have to offer the value of to give it s all about them nit works it totally plays on their human nature of wanting to be nappreciated and recognized yeah.
You re grabbing them read their profile nget. Something about what they do that you can really compliment them on nsincerely and just say wow. I really appreciate the effort that you put ninto this or you re doing a good work you re really making a difference in nimpacting. The world for a good i mean things something that s like really ncomplimentary like that how do they not respond.
What they do is they nreply. But before they reply they ll go and they ll look at your nprofile and a big part of this video that i want to emphasize is your profile nbecause. If you re sending out these messages and you re getting such a good nresponse right. We ve talked in a previous video you know i tracked nthe numbers.
I got a 65 reply rate for every 100 nmessages. I send out 65 would reply when i compliment them. And it s very nsometimes it s been as low as 55. It s been as high as 75.
So to say nwas a 65..
I ve actually tracked those numbers. If you re getting nthat much of a response and they re all going and they re looking at your nprofile. Then what should you do how should you organize your profile please ntell me more because you know mine s terrible. My own profile is that this is a marketing page and if i m getting such ngreat response people are coming. Here you can be really strategic with it and nbecause it s it s so structured on linkedin.
You don t have a whole lot of nvariety you ve got a title you ve got a photo. You ve got so you haven t ndiscovered any hacks on this where it allows you to be way more custom. You njust know that you can put a certain amount of copy in a body of your work. Nor your what you re talking about your benefits here.
But you can nsharpen. It you can you can make it more focused like this yeah. Because most nof the time you see them and they do look like five years at such and such ncollege. These are the jobs.
I ve had well you re not really looking for a job. But nyou re looking to promote your business. You re looking for business nthat s great basically. There s two steps here.
And you could start that right now nbasically you go to linkedin and polish. Your profile like we ve just described. Nthis isn t something that will take a week or months like most people will nthink. It takes to polish your profile and just go do it right now take.
Ten nminutes and if you don t like it a week later then in a week change it again. But nyou know be intentional about your title your description put in a good photo and nthen all you have to do is send complimentary messages on linkedin. So nfind your ideal prospect send them a message and i m going to show you how nyou can search and filter and find people that s what we re going to show you nnext in this video nonce. You find them you just send them a complimentary nmessage.
They will come and they will look at this just because you ve ncomplimented them if you said hey you should check out my profile. They will nnot look at it they will not look at it. If you talk about yourself or ask them ndo something. But if you give them a real sincere.

I think they should ni think i think you should share this video with everybody because they need nto be using this i mean you don t want to put that video on your page when nthey go i m gonna send them something really complimentary it s not a secret nbut you don t know it s just fun okay well you know whatm that actually nbrings up a point. Because i had somebody who attended my cabin retreat that i put non and i was training them this strategy and they said hey that s how you talked to me. And he wasn t offended oh.

Poor chump ni. m sure he s not watching it now okay so now how do you find our ideal npeople. We want to message yes. So there s this awesome search bar nup here you hit search and you can narrow it down for people so if nyou do a search by people you can choose a location.
Do i want people just the nunited states just in the united kingdom you can go by a specific state. So if i nwant to target people in california or just orange county. So i can narrow nit down as much as i want let s just say orange county. And i could do nmultiple.
We could say provo. Utah and orange county. Connections is are they a nconnection on mine or do i want to find people who i m not yet connected with or nthat are connections of my connections removed. If i want to narrow it down by nby companies.
And there are more filters that you can do is as far nas. You know the industry that they re in companies that they worked for in the npast alright. So let s say we filter united kingdom. And that it s ngonna show me wow 23 million.
Okay so obviously nthere s a lot of people that use linkedin in there. But what if ni m looking for public speakers in the united. Kingdom. Yeah public nspeakers in united.
Kingdom there are 82979. Ah. Good heavens ni could just come right here and send them a connection request with a compliment nthat s very cool. Yeah.
So i definitely recommend coming and checking this out nand playing around with the the filters. I don t want to tell you exactly how to nsit every single one is it s pretty straightforward. But it s a great neasy way to find your ideal prospect. I have another tip that i wasn t planning non sharing.

You ncan also do a search for groups so i m on people i can come here and change it nto two groups and let s just say let s just type in entrepreneur. I spell it nright so i searched for entrepreneur. Groups so let s see young. Entrepreneur nconnections or impact.
Entrepreneur there s 20000. People on that group. I ncan just pick. A group that i think sounds good and i can ask to join it but nyou can see that i ve got a lot of connections in this in this.
Group but. Nonce i join it it gives me a list of 18580. People that i can then go. And nsend connection requests to send them the complimentary message.
So it s people nthat have kind of filtered themselves into groups. Hey. I m a part of this group nbecause. When you do a search for a specific phrase that phrase needs to nappear in there their title or something about this but here you re nsearching them according to interests say.
I ve got an interest in fitness or ni. ve got an interest in fishing like you do or whatnot. So that s just a nlittle bonus. Tip as is groups are a great way to find your target.
