Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you ZappLight Review: A Light Bulb Bug Zapper?. Following along are instructions in the video below:
Flight is a light pole. Thats also a bug zapper thats todayss of you and freakin reviews. Now we week.
All right here we are at time and im going to put the zap light into a lamp turn off the other lights and see how the bugs are attracted to it here. We go take out the old bulb put in the zap light well there we go im going to turn off these two lights all right turn it off to the outside light. Thats the only light nearby and well see what happens.
Theres plenty of bugs flying around well. Its bowing for about 15 minutes. And i finally got my first zap even though theres hundreds if not thousands of bugs nearby only a few of them ventured inside the blue light zone.
I did get his app. Something came in there a minute ago it lit up and had kind of a burning smell so it does that they just have to fly in there right now all the bugs are on the wall. Not flying around it so im not sure why that is its definitely a bright light supposed to be a equivalent of a 60 watt bulb.
Its i think a 9 watt led. It is definitely bright. Oh yeah.
That you would think with all these bugs a few of them would be attracted that light you would think ive heard zaps in about 20 minutes. And theres a wall full of bugs or theres smoke coming off of it.
See that i smell something too definitely a foul smell right. Now. Lets see the smoke.
Oh there we go. It actually toggles you can turn it on for the regular light turn off turn on second time. Youll just have the zap light.
I see bugs crawling around in there then i can zap. I see bugs actually crawling in there. I love this alright.
Its seven oclock in the morning. The next day. The light bulbs been on all night.
So lets see how it looks whoa whoo. Look at that oh look at all those bugs man look at all those bugs well they give you this brush here that youre supposed to be able to clean out the dead bugs so lets see how easy that is to do theres another dead bug. Its almost easier to do that theres also kind of bad smell to it as well im kind of smelling.
Something else probably all these fried bugs. Im not seeing a very large bug.
Yeah. I dont see any of those big moths or out. There.
I dont see a single one looks like the only the smaller books could get through. There. Oh yeah.
Theres definitely a smell at times hope you guys im good for the bulb to do that this is about as good as i can do heres what we got pretty clean in there im not going to say hundred percent got a lot of bugs mostly little bugs. Though dont see one giant moth in there so it definitely seems well suited for small bugs. Im not sure if its going to get the bigger one there was a lot of large moths over there not one of them got in here.
There was even some that landed on top of it. But small bugs definitely it got a ton of them so then im a kind of bug. You have what kind of bug.
Youre trying to kill it may or may not work for you so last night. I ran it on just the zapper mode. Which is a blue led light tonight.
Ive got the bulb on and the blue led light to see if theres a difference between the two of them so ill leave this on overnight. Its the only light on the area and see how it compares to last night.
When it was just a blue led light music all right the next day has arrived so lets see how it looks ooh let me turn this off got a few different types of bugs in here now and i bought that bob was kind of hot its a little bit hot last night. When i didnt have the bulb on it wasnt hot having the bulb rodo night. It actually is quite warm this plastic strip here is not too much all right.
So lets take a look at this it almost looks like it caught more without the bulb on lets clean it out and see i cant say i love the cleaning out process. But i dont think normally youd have this many bugs. I mean im out im kind of out in the jungle bet.
Practically this brush is already starting to fray probably the best gives only goods. Im going to do i dont think thats as many as last night still worked. But just not quite as effective.
I dont think so to me the zap light seemed to work a little better without the bulb on and just a blue led light it seemed like it caught more bugs purely unscientific. But two nights in the same environment. Its good.
I would say quite a bit more bugs without the bulb on im not sure why that is but thats what im seeing just on this short demonstration. So in the end. I think that zap light works about as advertised the only thing.
I would say is that didnt catching in the big moths. Theres a lot of large moths flying around there none of them could get inside you did catch a lot of smaller bugs and there were some mosquitoes in there so in that case it does seem to work about as advertised.
But i dont think its a comprehensive solution. But certainly if you have a thing about bugs and you like the bug zappers. This is pretty good also keep in mind.
The bulb itself got really hot the next day had a hard time taking off because it was so hot if youre gonna leave it in the same location that doesnt really matter also if youre going to put it outside youre going to have to find a place where the bulb itself is not covered most outdoor lights have a cover over them. Its a twenty bucks for a light bulb small zapper. Im not sure if its better just get a regular bug zapper.
Its a lot larger for about the same price. A little bit more. That has a much larger surface area.
So you like what you see in the advertising. Youll probably like exactly. But there is one thing worth mentioning there was a study back in the 80s at a notre dame that tried to determine how well zappers work on killing mosquitoes and they found that mosquitoes were kind of attracted to the sappers initially.
But once the mosquitoes got there they are more attracted to the people in other words it might attract the mosquitoes. But it doesnt really kill them in that high of numbers. And that can lead to more mosquito bites and not less so some people believe in zappers and some people dont have you used zapped light or other zappers like this let me know what you think in the comments.
