How to Download Beta and Full Game of The Division 2 Digitally to Play Early
Everybody welcome to the channel. My name is jay got in today’s video we we’re gonna focus on how to download the beta and get the full game the division to digitally to play early. I’m gonna be demonstrating the process on playstation.
But the steps will be very similar on xbox and if you do find the video helpful at all please remember to hit that like button. And if you want to find your way back to the channel for additional content make sure you do subscribe with notifications on so the first step in the process is just pre ordering the game you can either buy it digitally or you can go through retail.
If you go the retail route you’re either gonna get all the instructions through email or they’re gonna be printed on your receipt and if you decide to purchase the game digitally you’re gonna want to know. Which option to go with so this is one of the simpler charts explaining what you get with each option. If you go with the standard edition gold edition.
Digital gold edition. Which has a hard bookcase that’s something you get a retail store and then you have the ultimate digital edition.
So regardless of what option you go with you’re gonna get access to that beta. But if you want 3 day early access once the game actually launches you’re gonna have to go with the gold edition. And above.
So just for the gold edition. You’re gonna get that 3 day access early and you’re gonna get the gear.
1 pass doesn’t really explain what kind of content you get talks about a little bit of customization options. But that’s kind of where the explanation ends and for the ultimate edition. It’s gonna include all the stuff.
The gold one had except where you’re gonna get a few more cosmetics you can see all listed in the bottom. The primary.
One you want to focus on is in that bottom right where you get that extra stash space and just a heads up that additional stash space will be available to all other players about the game obviously as you progress through the game you’re gonna unlock certain skills and one of the skills. You’re gonna have is additional stash space. So once we got that out of the way they’re either gonna have it on the main page.
You’re gonna have to search for the game. So go ahead and type in the division.
2. And then it will pop up with the different options then you just select whichever option. You decided go with from the different options.
So again. That’s either the base version the gold edition.
Or the ultimate edition. So at the time. I recorded the purchase of my game.
The date wasn’t 100 accurate yet they hadn’t updated to reflect the real date. The game launches so it was not accurate there.
But once you go ahead and do that proceed to checkout then you’ll have all these different options those are some of the pre order items and then there’s the actual game so when i click on the game you’re obviously gonna see the error. But there will be a box that you’re gonna want to check. And that is the auto download available you’re gonna see it right there on the bottom left hand side it says auto download and this will allow the game to automatically download when it comes time for it to actually release.
But now we’ll go ahead and transition to those next steps on how to actually access the beta regardless if you went the retail route had that code you had to enter in the beginning or you went ahead and bought it digitally like i just did now the steps were pretty much gonna be the same from this point more than likely by the time you watch this video. It’s gonna be populated in the playstation or the xbox store.
But since i did this ii the beta was available. I had a go to playstation online and once i did a quick division to search it popped up with the private beta. I clicked on the option to add it to the cart and then i press download once i did that step.
I was able to head over to my library go down all the way to purchases and scroll. All the way down to the division to once i scrolled all the way down clicked on it it had the option to download.
It was already there you can see the division two popped up all there it still has that white icon. The same way it looked like on the playstation store once i click on it it gives me the option to download. I select download and it starts that download process it is approximately 45 gigabytes and on my end it ended up taking about 50 minutes.
And everyone’s internet will be slightly different. So you’re gonna want to try and download this as soon as possible so there you’re not delayed at all when the beta actually goes live. So i went ahead and went to the point.
Where it’s completely downloaded. So you know what to expect once it’s complete and as you can see it has its own individual app. But it won’t be usable until these servers actually go live and here’s a quick list of start times depending on where you’re at in the world.
