A few months ago. It s about a two and a half year old laptop. So right now let s do a speed test here we go it s test again alright so we re gonna see you know actually it looks a little looks a little slow right now as far as the download. So something might be going on and let s look at the upload alright so some things a little go.
It s a little wrong. I ve got 18 to you verse that should be probably a topic for another video. But let s take a look let s pull this thing out right here i m gonna pull it out actually i like that device. I did another video on this that little device previously and let s pull it in so.
This is basically just hooked into cat cable and the cat cable is attached to the back of this modem look at that blue cable back there so let s attach this right in here right and you can see if i open up you can see right there i m attached to ethernet..
So let s close that and let s run this test again all right so we re cooking with gas. A little bit better now. I m assuming if i test one more time. I ll probably get up to 100 megabits and it looks like the upload is it s not so bad bear with me i m going to do this test.
One more time. Sometimes. It s actually faster the second go around. So let s see all right let s test one more time.
Yeah just a little bit better. I think definitely more than you ll need for your basic applications. I suspect. It has a lot to do with this with this att u.
Verse modem. So looks like ok pretty good. I m gonna test it again. But i m going to go to let s just go over here these are two other usb to ethernet adapters that it s really in my opinion.

You know if it s if it s really capable of that and you do a speed test. Once you get it then the 1314 dollars is absolutely well worth it you know it s small design really slim you can put it in your in your bag. I m actually traveling right now so i just popped it into my backpack and just took a little bit of cable with me and really easy way for me to get higher speeds. Without having to deal with the wi fi.
So that s it folks..
Like. I said really recommend the amazon basics or the you green ethernet adapter depending on how old your laptop is and you can do some speed tests on your own you know go for it go get out there. And do some speed tests. Let me know how fast looks like those speed tests.
I ran was at twenty two point three let s just do another one see if it s it gets any faster. No i think we re we. It s probably depending on the speed of my my modem here.
