” s going on youtube. So what i have here is a epson 1400 and i i have double blinking red lights right there. I one under users menu and it the double the double blinking. Red lights is gonna be because this piece.
Right here is not all the way secured into that position. Which releases. A paper feed and it s reading. I guess the cd tray.
But that s really not the case that s not what s happening here this is secured. It s locked in a place. I went over that already i tried resetting the utilities i tried cleaning out this band right here i tried to clean the sensor i looked online a few people said to clean this roller right here that didn t really do anything i ve tried a few different things. And what s happening is it s printing and once it gets like towards the middle.
It just automatically stops and i get those double blinking red lights right there so i m gonna reset it here and i originally thought it had to do something with the roller being dirty. Because of the way. It s kind of rolling back..
.
It s real choppy. But i don t think that has anything to do with it so there s one more thing i want to try i really don t want to do it because it requires opening the printer and i m really not sure i want to go that route. But i mean that s my last option so let s go ahead and open this up and see if this works all right so the first thing. I m gonna do here is remove my ciss kit.
Get all those lines off trying to deal with one hand here i haven t tried applying oil to the roller there cuz again i thought it was stuck. But no it s not the case all right so i m gonna start by taking out the back plate. Here right here. What you re hearing right now was a high school band.
I live right in the back of a high school. They re practicing right now so enjoy alright. So there s one last screw that i didn t find until right now. It s right here right beside the power.
So i gotta take that one off. I think that s the last screw to get this face plug off all right so we got this whole thing off here geordi right here hoping that isn t gonna do with it it s pretty dirty. I think i found the culprit here sorry guys this is not gonna work for you if you re having that red blinking light..
.
Because chances are you don t have this piece that fell into your printer. I just saw it right there i heard something rattling in there and i was just kind of shaking it up a little bit and i just saw this just lodged in there. But i hate to put this thing back together and find out that this has nothing to do with it. And what this is this is a piece of the ciss kit.
This hangs on top of your plate. And it holds your your lines. Together with the arm that sticks out so this kind of glues on here with the arm that sticks out of here. And it holds all the lines together so this who knows how long it s been since this was in there.
But i hope that was it let s find out now to put this beast back together all right. I think i finally got it going after all this troubleshooting taking this whole thing apart putting them back together taking it back apart. And what i did here was i greased up this roller right here with automotive grease. I ll leave a link in the description.
Where you can get it it s just regular automotive grease. I didn t think that s what it was because i had previously put wd 40 on it right. But it s not the same thing..
.
I had noticed when those double red lights were coming on when i would turn the printer back on it started like chopping like really not not running smoothly along the roller. So the last resort here. I said let me try putting some of this grease on here. And it looks like it s working pretty good.
I got a run a printhead cleaning. Because of all the on the ink that i wasted probably clogged a color there somewhere. But after i greased it up i mean it looks like it s working pretty good this might not work for everybody. But this worked for me i took this whole thing apart at that sensor right there one good sensor.
It sensor right down. There i took that off cleaned it up so call this a party or checked all the lines clean this ribbon up here clean that band say i got all these q tips here what needed a good cleaning regardless. What that s it wasn t any of those things suck off those rollers down. There i was like roll the teeth.
I took those off there s actually rollers in the bottom of that and clean those up those were gunk off those are pretty dirty and the process. I broke that roller right there as you can see there. But it still works it s slowing down..
.
There hope it doesn t stop see that s what i was doing early it would print maybe half like maybe up to right here. And then it would stop. And you see those double red lights so right here no double red lights printing. All the way through.
I ve got all this mess over here from taking everything apart. I wish i didn t have to take everything apart. And i would just try to grease this up sooner. But looks like that s working for me.
And i hope it stays like that i appreciate you watching guys don t forget to like and subscribe and check you on the next. ” ..
