What’s going on everybody like butter here. And what the heck is this is is this a gears of war 3 commentary. We’re going old school with the school intro yes.
It is indeed this is actually an old gameplay. I haven’t played gears of war in a while. But i got some crazy news that i woke up to this morning.
And that is that epic game sold the gears of war franchise to microsoft because they want to go off and work on other games. And i’m pretty sure this wasn’t a big surprise to us. I’m sure you’re sitting there in your seat.
And you’re like yeah. I could kind of tell with the way that they you know they kind of just put. No effort in the judgment with the shitty map.
Packs and the you know their mash were just ripped from old gears of war games.
And it was just terrible like no marketing went into it was just a terrible terrible terrible game and you know we had no updates no it was it was just not it was just not good. And i think we could tell that at that point they kind of just wanted to be done with the series which makes me a little bit sad. But i’m actually kind of excited because this means more gears of war games for the xbox one and i’m gonna read directly from the article that i will post in the description for you guys in case you want to read it yourself.

Ok so this is what i didn’t actually notice this this is the second time doing this commentary. The first time. I was talking about you know how it’s they’re giving it to a new comp and i think it could be you know very similar to the bungie situation where bungie made reach and then they kind of wanted to move on to other games that being destiny obviously and they sold the franchise back to microsoft so microsoft could go find a company and they ended up making a company called 343 industries and i don’t want to bash 343 industries at all because i know some of those guys over there personally but halo.
4. Was a good game. But it did not feel like halo it felt like it felt very different.
I don’t know really how to explain that but i’m sure a lot of you can kim back me up on on that as well and i was at first thinking that that could be what would happen and it still might we’ll have to see. But i actually didn’t read this next part of the article and shame on me for just kind of skipping over it it said microsoft also announced that gears of war veteran rod fergusson had been hired to oversee development of the franchise. This was a huge relief for me because it’s mostly you know rod fergusson with one of the core elements that went into the earlier gears of war games.
And he was a he was really a great figure for the company and i liked him personally you guys may have your own opinions about him. But i think that he’s going to make sure that this isn’t read is working up to you know the standards that epic games had and that made me feel a little better. I’m now i’m kind of excited because i’m like wow.
What if out of nowhere.
This company just raises the bar and puts out an amazing game that just like makes our jaws drop. How do you not know that’s gonna happen it could happen you never know like we were what we’re worried about you know judgment with like you know people can fly and then we realize that people can fly is only doing this single player. And then you know epic games.
Doing doing the multiplayer so i think that since epic games. Really didn’t want to do much more with this year. This is the best possible outcome for you got free gears of war fans alright that was in 810 warthog that just went over probably 10 feet over the house.
I think 10 feets an exaggeration. But that was a lot as but anyways so yeah. I’m pretty excited.
I know some of you may be like drew you haven’t played gears worn. So long why are you coming on here cuz. I put a lot of my time and a lot of my heart in the gears of war.
And i still always be a deep down gears of war fan.
But you guys had to realize. I had to move to new games. Because if you’re getting bored of the series and you’re completely destroying it into the ground like i did i overplayed it so much and judgment was just such a huge turnoff for me that i moved on to new games.
I moved on to pc games. I moved on you know games like daisy and i play counter strike now and i play league of legends. I play all these games with all these pc games.
And you know i have my xbox one i play some battlefield. I play dead rising you know any games like that. But you know it’s people were too expected of me to just post years of war and i understand gears or as an awesome franchise.
It’s an awesome game. It’s cool to watch gameplay on it. But dude you got to realize.
The person who’s putting the hours and hours and hours into editing it into playing it into you know watching it all this stuff.
It gets hard. And i wanted to move on to other games. Now i wanted people to like me for who i am not what i play and i’ve been building up my twitch stream.
A lot and i’m so proud of like all my viewers and everyone who’s been coming over to my streams. Because yesterday. We had we peaked at about 500 viewers on dayz mod’ we were playing dayz overwatch and then ice it went down a little bit.
I was playing hearthstone. I went down like 90 issuers and then i started playing rust again last night. And we went up to 250 to 30 range and stayed up in the 200 range all night and that is awesome.
I’m so happy my twitch stream is growing. But i do want to keep my youtube another priority as well so that we can get some awesome content over here for you guys there just in search sidetracked with streaming and stuff that eventually i want to get back to to a steady a steady both you know i like uploading. I know a lot of you like the highlight from the twitch streams and stuff.
Which i will continue to post.
But i also want some videos like this where i’m kind of commentating within gameplay. I feel like people missed out i’m sorry for going off on a tangent commentary was meant to talk about gears of war. But i’m just letting people know that i will start playing gears of war a little more i’m gonna try to play like once a week and stream.
It or maybe post some commentaries here and there i’m not totally against it i do apologize for like a lot of people think i just got up and left the community. It’s not how it works. I just wanted to play other games.
There’s no like oh you’re leaving the community. There’s no community guys. It’s just a bunch of people who enjoy the game and who like enjoy watching the game you know.
But if i want to go play other games. I feel like i’m i should be able to do that but anyways. I’m super excited for this i want to hear what you guys have to think have to say do you think rod ferguson’s presence won’t be enough to make sure this company does a great job in this game.
Or do you think this get this are you a hopeful are you a hopeful year’s gears of war fan.
Think that this is gonna be amazing. Because i know i’m one of those people. I’m really hoping that next.
Gen you know with the new graphics and the new you know the new look and how much i like better i will said awesomer. But that’s not a word. But how much better like the graphics are on xbox one.
I’m thinking about the blood in the core and the headshots and the bone crunching and all that amazing gore that gears of war is known for i just made a rhyme right there i think about how sick it’s gonna look on xbox one. I’m really excited for it. And i’m really excited to see where they go with the series cuz if they’re you gotta think about it like this long term wise.
If they’re getting a whole nother company to deal with the with the franchise. You know for a fact that they’re not just gonna make one game. They’re probably gonna do what halo does i’ve i’ve seen them do a lot of things that the halo like the same they’re taking the same paths that halo took with you know the fourth game being a prequel and then i don’t know it’s just it’s super similar to what halo does is what they do so i think they’ll probably go make a trilogy.
I called this a hundred percent.
I said when they did that interview they did an interview like two three months ago. Talking and there was a guy. It was somebody interviewing a microsoft guy and the microsoft guy was talking about future gears games.
I was like huh. Why aren’t they talking to someone from epic games. And i put two and two together.
I was like watch microsoft is gonna have to find another company to do gears.
