delete erase This is a topic that many people are looking for. bluevelvetrestaurant.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Permanently Erase Deleted Files on Android [How-To . Following along are instructions in the video below:
“What s up everybody its dallas with gadget x and today i m going to to show you how to permanently delete files on android and with most storage drives most operating systems files are actually removed when you delete them instead. What really happens is the system simply labels that file location is empty space. So all the ones and zeros that were physically written to the storage drive when you save that file in the first place are still there it s just that they re being ignored and they ll stay there indefinitely. Until you save a new file that happens to land on that space.
Which would then overwrite the old file with new ones and zeros actually this is how apps like undelete err can recover deleted files on android because they re still physically there on your storage drive have you been watching the news lately with the whole apple and fbi ordeal. You can see why this would make some people uncomfortable so if you want to permanently erase the remnants of old files on your phone start by installing an app called secure eraser it s available for free on the google play store so search. It by name to get it installed or you can use lincoln step. 1.
At my full tutorial now before we get started let me tell you how secure razor works basically since all the so called empty space on your phone storage is really occupied by leftover bits of data. It simply writes a new file full of completely random data on top of it all then deletes that so just like when you delete a regular file you could potentially undelete the data. It wrote. But it would just be random ones and zeros instead of a real file with that stuff covered.
Though using secure eraser is incredibly easy to start use this first drop down menu to select the storage drive you want to clean basically if you have an sd card go with external and if you don t just. Use internal to permanently erase the remnants of deleted files from here. You can select the type of data that will be written over the empty space on your storage drive. I d suggest you just leave it set to random once you ve done that just hit the start button at the bottom of the screen and secure eraser will get to work to be clear this won t erase any of your existing files.
It ll just overwrite the empty space with random ones and zeros and while it s doing that you ll see that your available storage space starts to shrink down a bit..
But that s ok because when it s done it ll delete that random data and you ll get all your available storage back whole process can take quite a while when i did it earlier. It took about 30 minutes to clean. 15 gigabytes of empty space and of course that would vary depending on how much space you have available. But when it s all said and done all traces of previously deleted files will be gone forever and not even the fbi would be able to recover all.
But for the full breakdown be sure to check out my article over on gadget. Xcom and as always we d appreciate it if you would like and comment on this video and subscribe to our channel. So we ll see you again next time folks. But until then s name select.
It the app will take you to the conversation page here you can begin to text chat or if ready video chat by locating and selecting the video camera icon at the top right of the screen your video call will launch automatically just wait for the other person to pick up the call once your conversation is over just press. The red phone hang up icon in the call. We hope that you enjoyed these tutorials and found them useful it may take some practice and some getting used to but don t worry you ll get the hang of it it is important to just practice as much as you need let us know if you have any other questions in the comments below and we ll get back to you as soon. reate a directory called slash usb key and that s our mount point.
Now and next. We actually want to enable or mount the usb thumb drive to do that we would. Go. Mount.
Ms. Dos. Ms. Dos.
Slash. Dev slash. Disk. 1.
S. 1. Slash. Usb.
Key. So. That should have physically mounted the drive into the filesystem and we can confirm this by doing an ls dash l. A of usb key and those are the hidden files by default.
That s placed on the thumb drive..
So now that we know that the thumb drive is properly mounted and we have a good mount point. What we want to do is take some files and copy them over to the thumb drive. So there should be a test directory that i created in here called test. And let me just change directory to test.
And let s just look at a listing and here are some pictures that i have in this test directory that i want to copy over to the thumb drive. So to do that we would go back to the root directory. And then we would copy recursively. So cp.
Our ford slash tests. And then select all files by typing in asterisks and then we would cut and dump that into usb key. So it s going to take a couple of seconds and once we re done copying into the usb key. We can confirm this by saying by doing an ls dash l.
Ford slash usb key and as you can see all of our files from the hard drive have been copied over to the usb key. When you re done copying files to your usb key. What you want to do is unmount. The drive from your system.
Before turning everything off so to do that we ll type in new mount slash..
Dev slash disk 1. S1. And this will safely unmount the disk. And you can remove the drive from your system.
And from there. You can do a system. Reboot. And your mac will start up again in standard os.
10 mode. So that s just a brief overview of single user mode and a useful set of utilities. You can do to pull data off of your drive. All right so ” .
