neato botvac d series This is a topic that many people are looking for. bluevelvetrestaurant.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Neato Botvac D80 Review, Robotic Vacuum That Cleans While You Sleep. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Welcome to dad does and today. We are reviewing the needle. A bot vac dat dat robotic vacuum. We ve reviewed lots of robots.
But none have ever cleaned our. So we are excited about this so taking it apart here showing just this is the chamber. We re going to show you the filter here this is where your dirt gets collected into it and if there s one knock on this it said. It s not very big in terms of how much dirt it can collect.
But it s easy to empty out showing the field to here you just snap this off empty it out and can continue on with the cleaning so comes with this filter pretty easy to set up just snaps in here. We re going to show you later it collects a lot of dirt. But it s really this kind of knock that out over the garbage can and clean it out looking back on the front of it pretty simple setup here there really two buttons on the front. The home one will clean your whole house.
This. One is for spot cleaning about a four by six foot area in front of it a display screen up on top. What we re going to do now is when i flip it over to the bottom. That s actually where all the interesting stuff happens here and sensors all around and that s how it knows where it s going and not to go off stairs and things like that looking at the brush in here.
This is a combo brush good for both rugs and hardwood floors. It also comes with another brush. If you want to switch it out so they have that as well more sensors. Here this is how it senses exactly where it is has laser mapping as well retractable wheels.
These are cool so it helps it as it gets stuck in places will show you that it can kind of move up or down. A little bit. Because those retractable wheels. Just flip and over here.
Another sensor also as a side brush. Which is great for corners and really getting a lot of things clean going to flip it over to the back now show you that this is the back of it these two metal pieces or how it magnetically charges up also blows. The air out of the back there looking at the top of it it s got this screen here and this is where you set things up so you set up your language. But also you schedule when you want it to clean your house.
And this is when things get like the jetsons. So we say. 7 30. On sunday start cleaning my house.
Done you add that and this thing would just come to life and start cleaning your house. It ll even go back and recharge itself. When it needs to here s that charger. This is how its going to charge up this is plugged into an ac outlet.
You just have this along an edge of a wall you have to leave about three feet space on all sides of it so the robot can find its way back. But then what happens is the robot just docks itself here charges itself up so it could go out start cleaning come back dock itself and then continue on cleaning so pretty trista canned wild stuff just want to show the other things that comes with here so you get another brush. That s this right on top. So this would be more if you don t want to do a combo brush.
This is a straight brush..
You can just easily swap these out this is to clean your neato. Baat. Vac. Also has a little cutter in here i m going to show what that s for that s for the magnetic tape to create boundaries.
But so you do need to clean it out every now and then so that s what that s for and here s that magnetic um boundary marker so what you do is you basically cut this let s say you ve got i m an area like where the pet food is and you don t want the bot vac. Going in there you can just lay these out. And when it hits this it ll turn around so those are just the boundary markers on it so let s test it out now. We re going to do a spot a vacuum cleaning here here.
It is just want to be quiet. There for a second so you could hear it s starting up. And how it works. So.
This is now laser mapping and looking at the about a 4. By 6 foot area in front of it love this you see this extra brush spinning on the side. This allows it to really get those corners into a lot more than some of the other round of vacuums. This d shaped design check it out here so it goes around the furniture.
It s not just bumping into everything. And again. This is a key difference with some of the robotic circular ones out there they re just kind of bumping and finding their way around this is leaves are mapping out what s there in terms of their furniture. You do need to pick up a lot of loose toys.
We left stuff down on the ground just to test it we just want to show here so education does hit something but look. It s pretty clever in terms of really finding its way around here s something you d probably want to pick up we ve got wires under there. But we said you know what we re just going to leave it let this thing go see how it does finds its way under our air hockey table does pretty well and this is again the key look how close it s getting on the edges. Here.
And this is that d shaped design is what they call their corner. Clever technology and because of that it gets very close to the edges of everything and because it also is that longer brush does a lot more cleaning and we re going to show you at the end here. It s really picking up a lot of hair. That s a key thing here we should say we re just vacuum so this area is actually pretty clean we re just doing this a test for the video.
But we re going to show you at the end. There was still a lot of hair in kitty litter and dirt down here which not really visible to the human eye. But so just kind of going over what it s doing here it s going back and forth. It s kind of laser mapped out that 4 by 6 area again not doing a full house clean here just wanted to do a spot clean.
So this would be lets say you spilled something and you just want. This bot vac to clean. It up you d hit the spot clean and start cleaning the area in front of it so it s going back and forth. But again.
What we like is the way that it really knows about what s out there in terms of the furniture gets very close you know where this thing is not scared to get under tables and get close to things so really doesn t leave any empty spots and just goes back and forth to cleans that area. What s cool is we re going to show you all the way to the end here. So you can see it then when it s ready to go back home. This is when our favorite things very jetson like goes back it s done and then it s gonna dock itself back onto the battery charger.
It s almost like parallel parking for a robotic vacuum..
So here. It is it s going to go back in we re going to let you watch it go back in and then it plays a little kind of happy sound. When it s back in there kind of neat as it goes back magnetic. Here those two bars are going to touch there.
And it s gonna make a load chime. So let you watch that so it kind of nudges its way in here and perfectly lines itself up with no interaction by us alright. So as we said was there any dirt down. There check this out i mean a lot of hair.
And what was something we had just vacuumed up right before this video. So it s very good at picking up cat hair dog hair human hair. That s one of its key things time to take the testing up a level so now we re going to clean the whole home but we re not picking everything up off the ground so we press home just want you to hear that chime then it s going to go out. And do its laser mapping then scan.
The area so that s what it s doing here. I ll be quiet. So you can hear the noise of the vacuum as it s doing the scanning and since you hear a little bit loud. But not as bad as a standard vacuum.
We re going to be quiet here. So you can hear from a little bit of a distance. What it sounds like so i think you can see it s not that loud you know i mean. It s a vacuum.
So it s got some noise to it. But not as loud as a standard back showing here our use of that magnetic tape to kind of boundary off. Where our lights are so this black you see right here that s that magnetic strip you can put down so it s stopping the bat you spot you see it hits. It then turns around kind of goes along it.
But isn t going in where our lights are on the wires are so keeping it away just want to test that sure and again here. Why is this kind of a torture test. We didn t pick up a lot so we ve got the kitty litter there we ve got a mat. There we just want to see how tough is this thing.
What can the bot vac hand hold so as you see it s pretty good you re going to see. It s going to push this little blue mat out of the way. But my feeling after using this for a couple of weeks is this thing. That s tough and can handle a lot so pushes it a little but look how it goes right along the edges and again we re stressing this because this d shape.
It s really able to get along the edges look how it goes along the door and it s not bumping into it then backing up bumping and backing up because it s kind of links or mapping. It it s doing a nice job of finding its way around you re going to see this in stuff. One here it hits a tripod a little cool thing because of those wheels. It can kind of move up a little bit back went up a little there allows it to get out of any corner and here s a key.
It never got stuck so i mean it gets itself into some positions and we re going to show you under the air hockey table. It was down there for a while. But it eventually got out and that s key buts. The way you want to use this is you just leave it set it to go for an hour.
However long it takes you don t want have to worry about it you don t have to begin out of jams..
So we re going to show you some more. But that was the key thing resilient and it was not getting stuck like we said poor baud vac. We did not make this test an easy look at these toys. We have all over the place and again here s the thing.
It s not taking a wide angle around it it s going as close as it s can to everything to really vacuum up wherever. I can no space too small for this bott vac. It s adventurous its resilient. So watch as it goes around this beam.
Here we realize got to cut some type tight corners here to get around the beam. And it did it again. It s that s one thing has this laser mapping so it knows what it s done. It s makes a couple of passes and we re going to show here one of my favorite parts when it starts fighting with some of our toys.
But again. If you re going to use this in the real world that is you pick up your toy leave the furniture down. But pick up any twice and then just let it go we decided real world you know some parents are just going to have their stuff on the ground. How would it do so check it out here so it goes in between these little mechanical spiders robotic spiders we have here it s almost going in between the legs to clean there so again we love that it s not taking that wide berth around it really get in in between here.
Here comes one of our favorite parts got a couple of robotic toys. Here. Robotic cars and different robots. And i think the bot vac gets upset.
They re being lazy not doing any cleaning actually rolls up on top of them so it s now on top. It s almost like a car wash for robots. But again we re not going to touch it here we just want to see can i get out of here. It s up on top of a robot now it finds its way back down those wheels moving up and down help of course.
The lasers in terms of mapping out the sensors help but look at it it s turning all around it s determined to clean over here on top of our robotic cars. It s going to keep going. And we were having a nice laugh here as we re watching this but it did just keep going on this didn t do any damage to our robots then weighs about 9 pounds. But because it s got the wheel there it s not that bad.
It s rolling over them basically so keeps going keeps pushing them. And then it s going to go to our favorite part. Which is where it goes under the air hockey table. Let s show you that here it is the needle goes under our air hog table.
No one s been under that in about 10 years and darned. If it doesn t find its way out. So we re going to show it here this took about a minute in 20 seconds. We re going to speed it up to about 400.
So we don t have that much time. But we didn t touch this thing incredible how it just kept going cleaning and finding its way out. So. We ll speed it up here now going at 400.
It kept turning find its way not a ton of bumping..
But it was cleaning finding its way kept going like we said was about a minute 20. As it cleaned thoroughly under there and was able to manage around the wires and here it is victoriously emerges. The air hockey team so pretty impressive that shows the guidance on this of course the big thing is does it pick stuff up yes. It s disgusting look at all this hair.
And it s really good at picking up hair hair and dirt. We got in about 20 minutes of vacuuming our basement which we thought was pretty clean to begin with so we ve got one final test. Here. And that is the dreaded stair test.
So now we tell the need o to do spot cleaning. But in that 4 by 6 area is a staircase directly in front of it so we want to see if this thing goes tumbling down the stairs. But that would obviously be a bummer to have a robotic vacuum be trashed as it goes down the stairs. So taking a look at it now and also showing that works great on floors as well not just carpet.
You can use it on floors. You can change out the blade in there which cleans it but we just use the combo. One which work fine so here we are coming to the stairs. Look how close this to the edge.
It s doing a nice job. But the stairs is going to be coming up right here. We do not have that magnetic strip down so nothing to tell it to stop here s the edges. There goes ramp to the edge and does not go off.
So that s great showing here. It doesn t go off the edge of the stair still cleans right up to the edge. Which is great. But as you see it s going right to the edge not going over and again.
We ve said this a million times. We ll show it as it goes around the door. It gets really close to the edges. And that s that d shaped design so overall love this neato bot.
Vac dat. A couple of things you do want to pick up loose things on the ground. If you ve got paper clips or nerf bullets or toys. You want to pick that up i we love the fact that it will self dock and recharge.
And you can just set it you can say the days of the week. When you want it to clean it it just does its own thing love that it can spot clean as well if you have an accident something like that we wish that it was a little bit larger. It s a holding tank for in terms of what it picks up. But it s fine you just empty it out pretty easy emptied out you do need to maintain it clean it out some stuff does get stuck in there.
But overall feels really well built and just works as advertised the lasers are mapping the corners. All of that works so that s a quick look at the needle. A bot vac dat. We love it and if you have a lot of messes and want something to clean it up this is the future and a way to do it come on over to dad does comm with a ” .
