custom snapchat stickers This is a topic that many people are looking for. bluevelvetrestaurant.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Make Custom Snapcode Stickers. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Team i can see here and today. I m gonna show you how to get get your snap code printed as stickers if you have a custom snap code. Or re gonna make a custom snap code. Stickers are a great way to advertise your snapchat get your name out.
There so i got these from you print are you printing uprintingcom. If you know how to prepare your own files. And you re gonna be able to send them to the printer. Without any worries.
So see yeah. I ll show you how to set up the file first you go into adobe illustrator that s what we re gonna be using. I don t know if there s a good free program that you might want to use. But we re just gonna use illustrator industry standard type vector program.
So we re gonna create a new document and then we go and click print because we are gonna print. These they re gonna be stickers. So we re gonna do two inch by two inch stickers if yours are gonna be a different size size them up appropriately the main point here is cmyk choose cmyk the rest of it doesn t matter too much for this first initial step because we re gonna be creating the custom snap code essentially so if we go in here. This is the code that he has this is mo the panda and he needs the custom snap code and he s my friend i don t he ll just make a video out of it so this is his current snap code.
And it s fine. Now. The thing is once you zoom in there s a lot of pixelation problems. This isn t ready to print.
It s a cool snap code. But it s not quite ready to print. We re gonna go ahead and remake the entire code so first thing. We re gonna do is we need his snap code.
And i pulled it up. I got a screenshot of his or like a chat between us no i m gonna extract it from this so you know how to do that but you can also download your snap code from snapchat comm. It s a lot easier. But i i m just gonna add this step so that you understand more in theory.
How illustrator works. If you re new to the program. So we ve got that part now we need the pikachu. I found the pikachu on his instagram.
Because he s an artist so this is one of his drawings and i could just ask him for him. But this is another kind of interesting skill that you can have so we re going to go ahead and screenshot this entire pikachu no you know the pikachu. We re gonna pull that in now you ll notice immediately the color is change the color is change from rgb to cmyk cmyk is what you need to print. This is more realistic the cmyk it s it s what printing looks like this isn t gonna glow like a computer screen.
It s gonna be a little more dull. Let s go ahead and make this smaller just so it s easier to fool with if all these are around the same size now first thing. We re gonna do is we ll just get a snap code out of here. So let s go ahead.
And do an image trace now all we care about and this image trace is the code all this other information..
We could get rid of in fact they could have cropped it out beforehand but we re not gonna bother you click this little icon to pull up the image trace and we re gonna change it to color another thing about this is i m gonna probably use some hotkeys. I m probably gonna leave some things unexplained go ahead. And comment. If you have any questions or just snap.
Me i ll try to get back to you and help you out most of the hotkeys that i m gonna use our copy and paste or arranging things forward backwards and deleting things those just kind of you know they happen once you use the program for so long. So i m just gonna do them and not explain them sometimes alright this looks pretty good image trace is gonna turn into a vector. This has how many colors does it aven at 30 colors. So it looks like besides there being you know there s a little bit of white here or like that looks pretty good.
Sometimes you have to fool with it you go into advance and you arrange the paths and the noise. And i could do that a little bit see i just took the noise down. I find a lot of the time turning the noise down. I ll get it right i can see some of these angles on the ghost are a little off.
They don t look quite smooth. There quite how they re supposed to look so let s see if we can get this closer. I m still seeing some crooked angles. Let s do this other plan.
So sometimes you don t have to mess with advance. Sometimes you do i actually have a quicker plan here s the thing is this yellow against the black that looks real smooth that looks exactly yellow. Part is the best part of this you ll you look in here. And you ll see some weird lines not coming out quite curved.
So. But the yellow part is perfect and that s all we really need to start with so let s go ahead and we re gonna expand if you click expand it s gonna all turn into a vector now like i said all i want is the yellow out of here. We ungroup so i m going to take this yellow layer after and gripped. It and i m a copy and i m going to paste it in the exact same spot.
So i just moved another yellow on to that yellow get it now i m gonna add a stroke. I m gonna add a stroke that s red because it s different than the black and i want it to completely overlap the black perfectly. Then i m gonna go ahead and change a line stroke to outside and then it s only going to the outside of the shape. It s not intruding into the yellow.
Now i m going to crank it up until it lines up perfectly with the black just eyeball. It make it look good so. I m gonna do two point five points as the stroke. And now i feel like that s a nice even stroke.
All the way around it now what i m gonna do is i m gonna go object path outline stroke and now i m going to click on pathfinder and i m going to unite boom. Now we have one shape and its got like these edges to it it s got some like it s missing like pixels of the vector. You know it didn t perfectly mesh together. We re just gonna go and click.
This outside right there and this inside right there okay so i ve selected this inside layer that s the and the outside rectangle that s not i i selected specifically those two now i m going to copy and we re gonna go out and we re just gonna delete this and then paste in place and now we re gonna subtract the ghosts from the outside boom. So this is gonna be our black. We re working in cmyk. So the idea for black is you want rich black.
Which is something like sixty cyan..
Sixty magenta. Forty yellow and 100 black k s black for some reason. So that s rich black that ll print nice now we can go ahead and we re gonna copy that i guess i could have just moved it and then we need the yellow and now we don t need any of this but i m gonna send this to the back there we go and then we re gonna center them and we re gonna align them to the artboard so there is a perfect vector snapcode you can size that up as huge as you want or as small as you want it s always gonna retain quality so that s always nice now we want to make this into this alright. Let s start with p2 now we have to image trace.
Again. We re gonna use them in trays and image trace turns out to be kind of annoying with this so we re gonna go ahead and use photoshop for the pikachu so once in photoshop you ll notice a couple things we re missing part of this year. So we re gonna have to figure that out but then that should be easy. We re just gonna go in here and use the magic wand and whoa.
It s selected a bunch of weird you know why cuz my tolerance needs to be third turned up so i m gonna turn it up to like 30. I think that s a good number and now you ll see it is still like picking up the edge of this blue. Because it s just kind of pixelated. So the edge of the blue is gonna be kind of darker.
So let s go up higher let s go to lay 35. We ll just try different ones. No let s go to 50. But it s getting better so i like this this is 75 and it seems to pick up all the blue nicely so we re gonna delete now you ll see it all has this kind of darker stroke around it that won t be as visible in the end.
I don t think and it s gonna be a lot smaller kind of a nice effect. But the one part. I don t like is right here. So let s get rid of some of this chunk right here.
It just looks weird. So. I m just gonna use saleh got on paul whatever lasso tool and we ll just select this chunk. There i like that a lot more that looks normal and the rest is good now we need to get that here.
I am going to so i put in the picture of the old code. I m just gonna kind of wing this i don t know if you ll appreciate that so okay let s size up this pikachu let s put this on top crank. The op acity down now i can see them both kind of layer via copy and then we re just gonna delete that just so we have something smaller and easier to work with rotate it some try to line it up still smaller okay there we go that looks pretty good close enough so we re gonna put it below and then we re gonna this is gonna be our ear. We ll just draw what the ear would be sends basically it will create a new layer use this same black paste.
It in delete this back one. Now. We just need to kind of round this out let s let s change. The background to white uh trim a little bit off this you know make it look a little smoother.
But the details don t matter aren t gonna matter too much on the kind of scale. It is so this is it this is our pikachu let s delete the background drop it good and then we re gonna go ahead and save this. Let s save it as a photoshop file. We ll just do that then we will drop the photoshop file in here.
And there it is and we don t even have to mess with it right now because we are gonna do this gradient now so let s select the yellow. We need to change that to this kind of gradient and then we re gonna add a gradient to it you click the gradient tool you click on it we re gonna open up the gradient panel. Then we re gonna go ahead and select like the reddish kind of color whatever. It s the most pure looking version of it pretty good and then we ll click that and we ll drag it in and place it here just somewhere it doesn t matter we can fix it in a minute and then we re gonna go and we re gonna select the kind of green and we re gonna select this greenish color and then we re gonna throw that in here now we can delete this black and we can delete this white.
There s kind of our gradient and then we can put the red in the middle and then we want to grab another one of this kind of like greenish gray pull that over and then we want to change the angle of it the direction that looks like that s kind of it yes..
It would be 135 exactly. It s actually add another one of these in here. Then now. It s starting to look more like it yeah.
It looks pretty good to me. So i think that that s pretty close and it s a lot smoother. This is very pixelated and heavy this is a lot smoother now we re gonna get this like ghost type outline right here we ll go ahead and click let single out the black layer. We made and now let s click on the ghost let s copy the ghost and now we ll go ahead and paste just that ghost and now we re gonna go ahead and take this gradient with the eyedropper tool and then we ll change this to the opposite angle be negative 135.
It looks like that one s a little bigger. So we ll do that now what i m gonna do is i m gonna single out this layer of the gradient ed code overlay with the holes in it and i m gonna single out the ghost image. There that outline so if i pasted it it covers up like middle section. The whole middle outline.
I don t need to paste it yet. But what i m gonna do is i m gonna make this a little larger so it fits where the other outline is feel that s pretty close that looks like that kind of fits. The other one now what i m gonna do is i m going to paste in this guy and i m gonna select that guy and i am going to go into pathfinder an empath finder. I m going to subtract and now i have that outline that is what this entire layer is now we can go ahead and paste.
What i just had pasted that i subtracted from and if we can throw that in the back and we re going to do the eyedropper tool to this like the kind of echoes gradient and then we re gonna rotate this this direction cool. So now we ll go ahead and size up pikachu. Correctly. We want to fit as much of them in here as we can and we want them to be behind everything except for that last gradient and so i think that s about as good as it gets yeah.
So if you look at these two it s night and day one of them looks a lot more distorted than the other i think even the pikachu looks cleaner on this one. I d say that s a pretty good job. No we can save this if we want i ll go ahead and save it as pika. But now what we need to do is prepare it to print it on the stickers we ll go ahead and open chrome and we are gonna go to uprintingcom.
That s what i m using you can use anything else any other sticker website should work this is how you universally could prepare your own file. So we ll go to all print products and we want custom stickers right here custom stickers you re gonna pick what thighs sticker you want but we re gonna go into templates and we re gonna go adobe illustrator cut to size not roll doing cut to size and we re gonna do the two by two sticker right here now i already downloaded it so it is right here now you ll see this is their template to buy to front side printing. And they explain this so the middle square is the safe zone. Nothing in there will get cut off that s basically what they re guaranteeing is everything in here is safe the other dotted line.
The middle range dotted line. Is the trim trim is where their machines are told to cut. It that s where it should cut. But some it cuts a little to the right a little to left a little bit up a little bit down.
That s why they have the safe zone. And the blee. A last zone is the bleed you want to extend any outside color as you want if you want this just printed on white then you don t really worry about the bleed. But if you want this to have a black background like these then you actually need your file to extend like i think an eighth of an inch beyond that i had an eighth of an inch more black than i would otherwise and i ll show you how to do that that s what i ll do with morgan s because i think that s a good look so this is the template.
We can go into layers. The rulers and guides and then template and your art here in the middle. We re gonna turn off template and now we can just see the guides of this is the safe zone. This is the trim and the edge of the artboard is your bleed go in here copy this sticker.
So what we re gonna do is select your artworks here that s where i should have pasted it so i m gonna paste it into that layer what we want is we want all of this snap code to fit inside the trim mark which i think really how did i do that somehow i have no idea how i did that somehow i sized..
It perfectly so the main point is you want this section this colored code section. You want the edge of that to hit the edge of the safe zone. So then you know all your color is safe and the only other thing you want on the outside is black. So now what i m gonna do is create a rectangle and make sure it hits that intersect and hits this intersect.
We re gonna send that all the way to the back and make sure it s the same black. I m using there this sticker is ready to print now it s only gonna print to the rectangle. The second rectangle. It s not gonna print all the way to the end it s gonna crop it and it ll look more like this another thing you could do like i did on these is make it a little bit smaller and now you ll see we have a little bit of real estate at the bottom to mess with in that black and we can write snapchat mow.
The panda and we ll pick a decent font. I like to keep it simple so let s go with pr xima nova. Part of it bold will do his name and bold and snapchat in light and then we will change it all make it yellow. Just like pikachu get that right in the middle.
And there we go that would be a solid sticker last thing you want to do is you want to cut off the guide. So you don t really need that but you can now we re gonna go file save as we re gonna save it as a pdf we re gonna click high quality print we could turn this off if we wanted we could turn preserve illustrator and editing abilities off if we wanted to cut down on file size. But it doesn t really matter so we re gonna save pdf and now we re done with the illustrator we just have to upload it so i m going to go back to chrome you got it all selected. We can do a thousand for 30 bucks wow.
You can change it from gloss to mapped high gloss this is just regular gloss we re gonna go upload your file and order today and we can drag and drop it right here it s gonna upload it file successfully received you can click print asap let s just go through to the next stage or you can receive a pdf approval proof. But you don t need a pdf of proof. If you ve done this exactly like i said you should be golden. But yeah go ahead and get a pdf proof.
If you just want to be safe now. We ve gotta add throne in here um. We can get a thousand of them for 231 bucks. And then ten bucks for shipping or you can go and pick it up whatever you probably can t pick it up if you re somewhere else this might just be los angeles.
So it comes out to 50 in the end and that s a pretty good deal you can go and check out. Then you can go ahead and place. An order and you re good to go alright thanks for watching go ahead and drop. Any questions in the comments.
