division 2 player count This is a topic that many people are looking for. bluevelvetrestaurant.com is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Looking at the player numbers – Division 2. Following along are instructions in the video below:
The PTS is still going, TU10 and the next raid are a few weeks away, but does the actual player base think this game is going to be saved by yet another update? So before I dive into the main topics that are hurting this game and what can be done to save it. I want players to understand what I use to make statements about what most players do, or don’t do. I wanted to show you the best data for the health of the game, and the closest we can get to an actual player count. Because a lot of people use anecdotal evidence as proof that has little truth to it beyond their friends list. I want the Division to be the best game it can be, and if that means being a thorn in the side of every Massive Dev, then sign me up.

Guys in this video. I’m going to be going over numbers from the actual actual player base you know we see a lot of people talking about you know many people or that many people or a lot of people or most people. I’m gonna be diving into some of the actual numbers that we have access to and before i do that i just want to talk about this community message that i posted a few days ago.
Obviously when i took the screenshot. It was relatively early a thinks about you know three days old at this point. Thank you to all the people that said.
They would watch you know me talking about you know possibilities for this game to all people. Let’s say you know it doesn’t matter they won’t listen you know look i completely agree with you. But i’m pretty far into this you know i might as well try right and again you know that just goes for the people aside.
You know don’t waste your time on it the game is dead look. I know the games that you know i have that same feeling. You know there are still people who play the game interactive in the game.
But yeah. I do realize that for the most part this game is not going to recover. And that leads me into the next point look.
I am fully on you know the division 3 train. At this point. I mean.
There’s nothing that i think that they’re going to do for division 2. That can save it i hope they can make it better. But they’re not gonna save it and you know at this point.
I think the best thing. I can do is just work for a better division 3. And that’s really the only you know thought that will actually keep me going in this game.
As of now making sure that division. 3. Can hopefully be in a better state than division 2.
Ever was alright so jumping into the actual numbers of this game. Now if you guys know if you have ps4 account or i guess playstation account. Whatever mat gets called playstation network.
Whatever or you have an xbox live account. You know that you can see the percentage of completion for your achievements or your trophies. And if you actually use these numbers in a guess responsible manner you can come to some very interesting discoveries based on you know what people are actually doing in the game.
Now you can’t get everything 100.

You can’t really get you know firm details on everything. But you can get a good generalization and i mean there’s discrepancies based on however you look at the numbers or however you’re trying to interpret the data. Because you know we just don’t have access to the firm numbers like you know massive wood.
But i still think we can get a good underlying picture of you know the game’s health as a whole and yes some of those numbers again may be off. But you don’t really need to say. This is a hundred percent factual to actually come up with some you know reasonable arguments for the game alright.
So the first thing that i want to say is that i know there’s a lot of people who who are pvp you know oriented. But the fact of the matter is in division 2. Less than 3 of the community is actually a hardcore pvp er and you can see that from the pvp achievements pvp trophies.
It is just not supporting that many people are actually pvp and guess what division 1. Was way more pvp oriented than division 2. Us division 2.
You’re under 3 for all the the die hard you know hardcore pve players again that’s not really true either i mean i think it’s you know based on the numbers that i was looking at it’s you know less than 8 of the player base is a hardcore pve r. And by that i mean you know the people that you know do all the missions repeatedly. Who go out and farm the name bosses in the world you get the complete card decks.
You know that kind of stuff not many people are that dedicated to the game. But that being said let’s actually look at some statistics that actually focus on i guess the overall health of the actual game. And you know where things kind of started to turn south and this is actually pretty pretty similar to division 1.
You know you see this kind of mirrored in the division 1 numbers. But less than 40 of the player base actually got to level 30. Now that’s actually pretty good considering.
I think division. 1. Was like about 25 ish percent or so that got passed you know level.
30 of those 35. You know 40 percent. Whatever only 13 percent of these people ended up crafting an exotic weapon or a piece of armor.
So realistically we’re looking at you know. 13 of the player base actually sticking with this game. You know in in realistic terms for for endgame.
So. 13. A people continued on with the end game.
Over this game.

That was designed to be end game first according to the developers before they launched. It right yeah. I think if you paid into the game.
You probably remember them saying. We’ve got n game. First bs anyway.
You know that but i mean you know just to support that you only had really like. 17 of the players who actually tried the special weapons. You know i mean that just kind of proves like once you get a level 30.
The whole thing is special weapons. If only 17 of the player base. Even really you know touch them eeeek.
You know that just goes to show you that people were pretty much just done with the game after they got to level 30. So just for a generalization all right you had 30 percent of the player base left after the first mission 60. Percent of the player base basically just left after level 30.
So that by the time black tusk showed up a tidal basin. You know 80 percent of the players were gone. I mean yeah black just showed up and everyone’s like now.
I’m good thanks. Now that leaves 20 of the player base you know. By the time.
Dc outskirts showed up and that was the basically the first you know real dlc. There. I guess that was the first real content.
They added after the raid. You know only 15 of the player base was left and then once they finally got to the pentagon. There was only 10 of the community remaining so 90 percent of the players had left the game.
And we’re pretty much probably just not coming back period. All right then you’ve got you know less than 9 for coney island. You’ve got less than 8.
For for warlords of new york and that’s a shame because i think warlords in new york is actually probably the best piece of content in the game. But you know they’ve screwed it so much that players just didn’t want to come back right. I mean i understand that now the real thing here is if you look at these achievements.
You know you’ve got less than 2.

Actually gave a poop about the seasons. And i mean that just seems like a huge wasted effort. I mean we already kind of know that based on you know the poll.
I did you know probably bought like two weeks ago. Asking about you know who who actually liked the the season and on stuff. Yeah.
I mean we got the we got the the in decay that seasons were trash and you know this kind of proves it i mean even if you finished it and you didn’t like it at least you finished it right. Most people no i mean less than two percent. So basically 25 percent of the people who have bought warlords in new york maybe cared about the seasons.
I mean that’s kind of saying something right and to be fair this discussion you know you can’t be made in a bubble. I mean if you look at division 1. Yeah.
It had the same problems right it had a lot of these issues. But at the same time division. 1.
Was kind of trying to find itself right if you played division 1. And you came to division 2. You more or less knew what you were gonna get a lot of people i think bought division 1.
Thinking. It was going to be something else you know they you know as we can see currently with a lot of pvp players who are like this should be a shooter. And that’s it and you know unfortunately that wasn’t the idea behind the division.
It was supposed to be this mmo looter rpg and unfortunately that did affect division 1. Statistics. So you know you have to kind of compensate for some of that once you start taking away a lot of the let’s try and see what this game is without ever actually looking at what the game was you know you come out to basically.
These similar numbers for a first title in the franchise. You know that’s that’s that’s pretty that’s either really good for division 1. Or really bad for division 2.
And another really important thing to point out while we’re talking about division. 1. Is that you know you’ve constantly seen in the community.
How you know they want survival back. They want underground back. They want you know last stand back.
And i understand the desire to play some of these modes.

But we need to understand that as division 1. Fans of these things we are in the extreme minority of the player base if you never played division 1. You of course.
I obviously have no idea if you played these modes in division. 1. You are in the extreme minority of players.
I mean if you just look at you know the first dlc for division 1. Which was the underground a good chunk of the community got that dlc. But once you actually started diving into the underground players were like no this is this is dumb.
And a lot of that had to do. With just the bullet sponginess of. 13.
14. Somewhere around. There a lot of it had to do with that it was just wasn’t very fun for a lot players.
I didn’t really mind the bullet sponginess. But in underground. It became exceptionally obvious that this is just not not a good good not a good place when you continued on to you know dlc.
Which was the survival expansion. It got even worse trust. Me.
I i know well so many people love this expansion. So many people love that dlc. But guess what the numbers just don’t support it i mean on playstation which you know even has.
Higher you know percentages than the next box for this. Stuff 25. Percent of the entire playerbase ever managed to actually you know craft a virus filter and a flare gun.
And that’s not even that’s not even. Finishing it just getting to the virus filter and flare gun. Only.
25 people who actually made it out of. Escaped one round 22. Percent.
When you look at you know the the number of really hardcore dedicated survival people you’re looking at less than 03.

I don’t i actually don’t have that achievement. Because i i didn’t like survival. I think i’ve said that before but it may shock you i hate a survival.
The first time or the second time that i played it was alright after that it was just it was just a boring waste of time for me. I didn’t enjoy it i think i think to date. I have 38 items extracted.
So you know hate on me. All you want but look. It was not a success it may have been fun for some of you.
But this is one of the reasons. Why massive is not bringing it back it was not a success and then of course when you look at last and i know there was a person who commented that you know last and was huge and it was great and it was popular it wasn’t guys. It was not popular last stand might have had a decent player base in it and might have been really active with some players when they first came out i mean sure some people came in they tried it and you know they at least finished a single match.
And i mean you’re looking at you know around 4. That actually played it through a full round. But people didn’t stick in that mode.
People did not stay in that mode this mode was less popular than the deezee and you know that’s just this is the way. It is i wish they would have numbers for for a skirmish or maybe even resistance. But unfortunately.
They never had an achievements for that either way pretty much it was a disaster for the. Dlc the free dlc was pretty good and pretty. Well received you know.
17 18. Were mostly well received by the community. But yeah this dlc was a complete and utter disaster and of course you can see what the game stats themselves look.
I’m gonna admit these numbers are probably terrible ok. I don’t trust the monthly active user number and i don’t trust the new players added number. I mean it might be true.
But you know i suspect that something’s a little bit off with those. But i do expect that the player count is probably pretty you know accurate more or less. You know you’ve got you know 10 million players on division 1.
For the xbox. You got about 10 million players on division 1. 4.
For playstation and then you know of course division.

2. I mean i think division 2. Barely squeaked by with their with their 10 million.
You know units sold. I’m not excessive was 10 million eur sold or 10 million players in the game either way. They did not do very well.
It is nowhere near the success that division. 1. Was and yes.
You can argue that more player stayed in division. 2. At least through the game versus division.
1. And it’s true a lot of players abandoned division 1. Pretty much before they even got to the base of operations.
So there was a huge exodus from that game right in the very beginning probably just because it was a new idea and people didn’t know what to expect so people just you know bought it they tried it and they’re like oh. What is this this isn’t the game. I want to play.
I think. That has a lot to do with the the basically just vast number increase over division 2 and of course. Obviously.
It’s been out for three years longer so of course it does but i mean even if you add three years to their their new players. Added. You know you’re still not going to get the same numbers at division 1 head.
And it might never actually get to these numbers that division 1. Did i think that the key to the division is expanding what the rpg looter shooter. And you know hybrid is all about so whip the series.
I just want to basically focus on things that hopefully they can do to improve the game for everyone without making it redundant or making. It just you know uncomfortable for a lot of the playerbase. But there should be reasons that every different player type wants to keep playing your game.
Whether it’s to get the you know exclusive grind items whether it’s to just build massive amounts of build diversity whether it’s to you know just just plow through npcs on lower difficulties. You know whatever makes them feel good to play the game. You want to include these moments for people.
What you don’t want to do is diminish. Everyone’s you know enjoyment of the game by making it a very basic and boring experience and unfortunately. That is what we have now thank you guys for watching.
I will see you in the next one .
