“Guys so continuing from the last video of what specifically shifts the aggregate demand curve. Curve. We re going to be talking about the recessionary gap and the inflationary gap. That s very very similar of what we talked about in the previous video.

So this will be a very quick review and a very very easy concept to understand if you have watched the previous video. So if we talk about the inflationary gap. The inflationary gap and i guess i can write out the inflationary gap in this in this table. Inflationary gap.

The inflationary gap is essentially what happens when you shift the aggregate demand curve to the right. So what would make the aggregate demand. Curve shift to the right well we know that aggregate demand is made up of consumption investment government spending and net exports as we talked about in the previous video so anything that increases any of these four factors would shift the aggregate demand to the right so if we shift the aggregate demand to the right. We would have something like this we would have something where the aggregate demand would shift to the right and i ll label.

It a d1 shift to the right. And this new point. The new point. Where aggregate demand and short run aggregate supply.

Meet would be our new equilibrium point. So from our equilibrium point. Over. Here.

Where we would have full full employment and we would have a price level price level this this equilibrium point of full employment. All right we would shift our aggregate demand to the right and our aggregate demand would look something like this with this new equilibrium point. Now what we need to know when this occurs is that what do we see very obviously well we see we see a price level. Our new price level our price level increasing.

So we see our price level would be increasing and we see that our real gdp. Which is denoted by gdp. What they sub are our real gdp would increasing as well okay so far real gdp is increasing in our price levels increasing we know that our unemployment unemployment unemployment must also be decreasing because gdp real gdp and unemployment have an inverse relationship. So if your gdp is increasing for producing more than you must have lower unemployment.

So this is very important when it comes to the inflationary gap. Inflationary gaps occur. When the aggregate demand curve shifts to the right because any of these four factors increase. And if that occurs.

Then your price levels increase your gdp real gdp increases. Your unemployment. Decreases and usually our inflationary gap in the business cycle..


Would be if we had a quick business cycle. If we had a quick business cycle. This this orange line representing the the natural rate of unemployment. If we had a quick business cycle that would look something like that we would be somewhere if we were experiencing an inflationary gap.

We would be somewhere here we would be above the natural rate of unemployment. Where we would where we would be having higher gdp because this is real gdp. The y axis is real gdp. We would be having higher gdp lower unemployment and this is something we would like to call the peak in the business cycle.

So we would be having a good economy now for a recessionary gap it s pretty much the exact opposite okay a recessionary gap recessionary gap excuse the bad handwriting police so recessionary gap is when the aggregate demand curve. The aggregate demand curve shifts to the left alright. So we have a new ad1 curve. Here.

It s shift to the left. So we know from our equilibrium. Here. It goes here.

Because that s where our aggregate demand and our short run aggregate supply meet each other so from this price level from this price level. We go down to this price level. So we go down in price level and from our from our full employment gdp. We would have a new a new point here showing the decrease in gdp so there will be a decrease in price level and a decrease a decrease in real gdp.

Which would lead to a increase a increase in unemployment okay because gdp unemployment have an inverse relationship. So if you re producing less there s probably going to be lower employment. So a higher unemployment. More people will be unemployed and if i was to draw out the business cycle for this this orange line representing the natural rate of unemployment.

We would see we would see the real gdp on the y axis all right and our business cycle. Would look something just like what i drew out there we would be somewhere here. We would be at the lower point at the at the troph in the business cycle. Because we re experiencing lower gdp lower price levels and higher unemployment.

So this would mean that we would be experiencing a recession. We would be at the the trove of the business cycle. We d be at the lower end of the business cycle and keep in mind that this point this equilibrium point right here. And this equilibrium point right here are represented by where the green crosses.

The orange. Where the natural rate of unemployment is so this is where we are naturally and this is where we would be we would have an increase in in our cycle. Here..


If there s an inflationary gap and this would we be where we were starting off and we would be going down. If we had a recessionary gap. Because of these relationships so recessionary gap is just talking about the shifts in aggregate demand. We already talked about what could possibly shift the aggregate demand.

But this shows how the economy would react to these shifts in aggregate demand hopefully this video gives a little bit more clarity on the shifts and why they occur and what happens to the economy. The economy in a macro context. I hope this helps out and i thank you for and it also is a bad idea. But um.

It also will give you one grid power. One base power or grid power gp per. One of these you put down so if i put down four of these you ll see that i now have a total of five now. Let s say i go really far away.

I m flying around and i hover over this look. I still have five in my grid system. And it s generating five. I am using zero so that s why it says zero of five and you re probably.

Wondering why do i even want to borrow bother with this stuff. Well. There s a ton of things you can use this power on specifically. Things like angel rings that can allow you flight or other creations as well as machines.

But we ll get into those in another video for now. We re just trying to get you started on the basics of extra utilities. Now that is one way of generating. It but that is a little bit intense because you re gonna need a lot of lapis to make these you know if you re making them in a large quantity and everybody knows that if you have tinkers construct 2.

Installed you re gonna want your lapis to make luck on your weapons. But that aside lapis has been getting more and more use so there is an alternate method that can help give you a temporary boost and that is this the manual mill now this is a manual mill that actually can run automatically for instance. I will right click on this and you can see now the power generating says 15 my grid power says 16. I m currently obtaining one grid power from my solar panel and 15 from this manual mill now you ll notice that you don t hear rapid clicking in the background from my mouse.

That s because i only had to click once it s a really nice item once i look away from it it stops automatically. So you only ever have to click. It once and then you are currently generating that now how and why would i want to do this allow me to demonstrate with this here with this the resonator you re going to want to put ingredients in here. But they ll require specific costs in order to do so i ve lined these up top to bottom in a way that demonstrates it for instance thickened glass.

Which the recipe is sandy glass being cooked in a furnace. But sandy glass is regular glass and sand of some sort and with that if you put thick and glass in here at the cost of 1gp. I m just using these as demonstra gp..


These are not actually grid power items or pellets or something. But at the cost of one to one you will get a redstone glass. So let s grab one of these here and i m going to put it in and you can see it actually do its work boom. That was really cool and i now have redstone glass.

Now if i were to take something that costs. Eight as you see here. It currently i have it saying hate to make a stone burnt item then allow me to take the polished stone put it in and you ll see it powers up to. 10 for you always have about 004.

In the system that s to mean that you have to have the minimum of at least the the cost here eight now in this case. It s it s a little weird you re like alright well. How do i how do i get this over it that s where you start generating this i notice my grid power says 104. Being used out of one once i click.

This the grid power goes up. And it slowly will be used by that resonator making you the item that you re looking to do so you can see how this can temporarily give you a boost there we go one stone burnt now done i m moving on with that if you take some gold weighted pressure plates you can make upgrade bases which are used to make yourself different upgrades. Which can be useful in other crafting recipes later lapis can be upgraded at the cost of 16. So that s right you have to have a solar panel and one of these and you can make yourself one of those really simply so let s actually grab one here.

And yes. This does accept things from an item hopper as well so you could pipe things in there. And then therefore you could power this up as much as you want now if i stop you look in here. It actually will stop there and that you can continue where you left off so if you get interrupted.

It s no big deal. It s not gonna forget where it is and if you think oh well i know what i can do i could just take the solar panel. And i m gonna place down another one and then break the old one yeah it doesn t work that way it s it remembers the solar panels. It remembers the manual mill so when you re done with this then you should be good to go.

And it will make you the new item lunar reactive dust which we re actually going to use next. But you can also use iron bars to make a wireless rf heating coil. Which is going to be used in wireless batteries to create heat you can use charcoal or coal to make red coal. Which will be used in other recipes as well but these all require 16.

These recipes require 8. This recipe requires 1. So you can use this in order to make yourself a grid in order to power things of course everything in here. That is generating power is going to be passive.

So this is going to be very easy to expand on you just add some put it down. You don t have to worry about powering it or feeding it items. It s just no matter..


If you put it down next to something or it is activator generates power from something existing already and and you should be good to go so with that you re probably wondering how do i keep track of this that s where the power manager comes into play this is a fantastic little device a very simple recipe that i did not put in that chest. But i do have it in my inventory. So a resonating redstone crystal plus 4. Smooth stone and that gets you your power manager.

Now you look on here you right click and it actually tells you power generators solar panel. I have 10 of them generating 10 gp i have a bunch of inactive stuff lunar panel water mill resonator manual mill lava generator fire mill you see all these numbers and stuff they re all passive not generating anything right now because i eliminated all their sources. So that i would have a clean slate for this video now with this you are now able to see your entire grid your power grid. And it has a slot here so you can page down.

If you have that many different sources of grid power coming in so you now have solar panel. But what happens if it s nighttime. You know you you want to switch it up well you already know how to make lunar reactive dust. So that s where these come in the lunar panels.

And that is a lunar reactive dust resonating redstone crystal. Couple polished stones and now you can place these down and generate the same amount of grid power at night that you could during the day. Now let s put one over there there we go so now i have equal amounts of grid power being generated during daytime as night let s change it to night and there we go now. It s night time.

I m still generating that lunar panel is now generating me some power as well and it s really good stuff. Because this. Here if you. Notice it says base power given 1gp current power given 125.

What s with that well it must have clear line of sight to this guy. But it gives more during a full moon which of course. It is you can t see it because the moon hasn t risen yet. I didn t change it to the right time of night.

But there you go now there is another item that i mentioned over there and that s stone burnt. Which you know there s no recipe for that it s just something that s really really going to be useful for making other tools and as you saw we took the polished stone and put that in the resonator and crafted. It and it will be used to make lots of the different mills and things that can generate a lot more gp for your power grid for use later on so i m not getting into any of the things that these are gonna be used for in this video. I m just covering how to get started in it.
