So let s go alright guys. So first of all if you like technical reviews like this and tutorials go ahead and hit that subscribe button. So you get notified when i put up a new video. I ll be doing a bunch of new ones in the near future onto the blue r1 hd.
This is a 50 phone. It s an amazon prime exclusive. So what does prime exclusive mean it means it s significantly subsidized. But there s ads on the lockscreen alright.
I know what you re thinking because i was thinking the same thing. It s really not that big of a deal there s ads on the screen. And i usually just swipe right past them or put in my pattern lock and get right into the phone. I really don t even notice the ads that much and i ve not really seen any ads on any other part of the phone it does come pre loaded with some amazon apps.

Like the app store and amazon shopping. Things like that but you know they re not that intrusive. And they re relatively small the r 1 hd. Basically comes in two different models both of them have a 5 inch ips screen running a 720p resolution that s 1280 by 720 with a pixel density of 294.
The screen also uses gorilla glass. 3. So it has really good scratch protection up on the top of the screen is a 5 megapixel selfie camera. And there s even a front facing flash you know if you got to take those selfies in the.
Dark the only port at the top of the phone is a 35 millimeter. Headphone. Jack the right side of the device has the volume rocker and power button at the bottom of the phone is the microusb port and microphone looking at the back of the phone. We have the 8 megapixel autofocus camera.
Although the shots on this device are not stellar. I was actually really impressed with the quality of the photos. The camera shoots at 1080p video. Which again was much better than i expected the camera isn t going to rival any of the flagship devices.

But for a device at this price point it does a really really good job under the back cover you get access to the dual sins and the microsd card slot. The dual sims are really great because if you travel internationally or you have a business line and a personal line. You want to both on the same device you can leave both of those sims in there and then just switch back and forth decide. Which one you want to text from or make calls from the phone.

There s two versions from here on out. One version is 8 gigabytes of storage with one gigabyte of ram. Which is not much. But the phone does come with an sd card slot.

So you can expand that storage. This model will run you right around 50 as of the time in this review. The second variant has 16 gigabytes of storage and 2 gigabytes of ram. And that s the version that we re using in this review and as of the time in this review.
It s on sale for only 60. It normally sells for about a hundred and ten so depending on when you watch this review that price may be different. I ll have a link in the description. You can check the current prices on amazon day to day usage on this phone has been really great the signal strength is very good it s very fluid.
I ve not seen it slow down too much i mean if you re loading a lot of apps. Because it just has that 2 gigabytes or you re running some real graphically intensive games. You re going to get a little slow down. But for average use and casual gaming.
It works really well and even on some somewhat graphically intensive games. It works well like minecraft works fine on here. The gta titles work really well if you get into more modern stuff that are a little more demanding it does tend to slow down. But i ve yet to find anything that i couldn t play on here there may be some stutter.

But still playable so in conclusion. I would say one thing to keep in mind with this phone is that it s not intended to be a flagship killer. It s intended to be kind of an entry level phone and with the subsidizing through amazon. The ads are no big deal and you can get it as a really really good price.
The phone if you just need a basic phone you want to play some some games and take some decent pictures and video. It s actually really good and i could recommend it for that if you re comparing it to something like the s8 or the iphone. There s no comparison. Those are heads and tails better than this but this was not designed to compete with those phones so guys i hope you found this informative.
