Today, bluevelvetrestaurant.com would like to introduce to you Are Older Wacom Tablets WORTH IT?!?. Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Older generation of wacom tablets. Worth nit. This video is a guide for beginners and and anyone nalike looking for a wacom tablet. But they don t know where to there has been so many wacom tablet released nin the past decade ranging from affordable to super expensive.
So i understand why a beginner can be very nconfused in this video. I m focusing on the affordability nside that s why were going in the past and looking at tablets that wacom released nin the last couple of years and comparing them to some of the new newer ones in the nmarket. Today were excluding cintiqs in this comparison. Nfor budget.
Wise. So let s get on with this video. I m going to be comparing 5 main tablets ntoday the wacom graphire the bamboo splash the nwacom intous pen and touch the wacom intous art and finally the wacom intous pro medium let s get started the graphire is the oldest none of the bunch. It s as old as me 18 years.
It has 512 levels of pressure sensitivity nin real world use. It s as bad as it sounds just straight up lag. But it has some positives shockingly to me nthe pen is battery free and cordless. Which off brand non wacom tablets.
In today s standards nare. Not the pen itself was not uncomfortable to hold nit has a grippy silicon texture..
Which is great for long art sessions. Another plus is the eraser. Which is almost nnonexistent for modern tablets. At this budget final verdict.
No i would not recommend i just wanted to add it in here. Because i m nso fascinated on how tablet technology has improved since then so it s interesting nto compare it to something as old as this the bamboo splash on the other hand is not nancient. It came out in 2011. The pen is battery free and cordless like nthe graphire.
But has no eraser. It also lacks multi touch input compared to nthe wacom intous pen and touch intous art and intous pro on the plus. Side it has double the sensitive npressure of the graphire 1024. It has a great built and 4 express keys drawing and utility wise.
It still holds up ngreat in today s standard without braking bank or compromising drawing features the wacom intous pen and touch is a step up nfrom. The bamboo splash. If your focus like me is the eraser. It has multi touch input and a pressure sensitive neraser.
It s a bit smaller than the bamboo and graphire nbut has overall the same active area for drawing. It s the tablet that i own i got it 4 years nago for my 14th birthday..
The main downside is the build quality over ntime the top back cover couldn t stay on so i had to tape. It which meant the penholder slot fell off that nmakes it a lot easier to lose my pen every now and then its not a deal breaker in actual use. When ndrawing and doing photo editing or designing its not noticeable. This tablet has my favorite pen out of this nwhole line up well my 2nd favorite pen out of this whole line up after the intous pro nnot just for the eraser.
But it is a bit heavier. Which i prefer for long drawing sessions compared nto the intous art and bamboo splash. Which their pens are virtually the same when using either of them you don t see nthat much of a. Difference even though the intous art has.
2000 level of pressure sensitivity ncompared to a 1000. On the bamboo splash. But in actual use its hard to tell the difference. Which is why i personally prefer the intous npen and touch pen over the bamboo or intous art pen final verdic yes.
I d recommend if the eraser nis a big must for you otherwise the bamboo or intous art are equally great options the wacom intous art is newer but similar nin functionality with the bamboo splash and wacom intous pen and touch. It has 4 express keys multi touch inputs nand about the same active area for drawing so if you decide to get this model there s nnot much of a big difference compared to the ones. I just talked about the only downside is that the pen on this nintous art. Does not have an eraser the surface of the it on the other hand is a bit more ngrippy than the other 3 tablets.
I just talked about which is a plus. Because it s a lot more nresistance to scratches..
Otherwise. It is another great option for your nbuck. The last wacom tablet in this comparison is nthe intous pro medium its more on the higher. End with 8192.
Pressure nsensitivity double. The express keys of the intous art or pen and touch. It has built in bluetooth connectivity. Which nworks very well 75 of the time.
If you don t run into any issues. It has the newest wacom pro pen 2. Which is nalso found on their cintiq models. As far as pens go i have to say this is one nof the nicest tablet pens.
I have used to date. It feels well built and comfort level is over na 100 for me. The intous pro medium is extremely sleek nthe touch ring offers a greater level of productivity. When drawing and the active area is also nbigger everything about the intous pro medium feels na lot more premium than the other tablets.
I ve mentioned in this video which matches nit premium price tag of 349. This makes the other tablets on this list na lot more appealable..
If your on a budget. Yes. The features of the intous pro mediums nare amazing. But they won t kill you either if you don t have them having the best nof.
The line equipment or software. Does not make you a better artist. Photo. Editor.
Or ndesigner. This video shows you that new technology is nbeing released. Constantly. You always have the option to upgrade in the future to even na higher model like a cintiq or whatever is top in the market in the next few years or nmonths anyways guys.
That s it ni hope this video was helpful leave a like comment concerns or questions below. If your nstill undecided. Other wise guys have a great day. See you guys in my next video.
