“Hi. Everyone my name is jessica whitaker. And today. I am.
Here with sarah and and matthias and i am so excited because we are doing the cutest couple shoot on the brooklyn bridge and as you can tell it s more of a style of bridal shoot our five year wedding anniversary. The summer and we got married the photos came out kind of less than ideal and we ve never had any photos. That were like really proud of my polish. As well as lighting situations also how to deal with a crowded area everything can be linked down below as well as impulsive in the disability.
You are my website arsov. We want to hire about lighting wedding is obviously so important with photography. But i have been really loving to shoot during hold an hour especially here on the proclick bridge. I resisted to new york.
It s the most common most popular location and for good reason. It s beautiful the tones are gorgeous a light is a very harsh drinking day so we went up at 7 30. And sunset is completely gone by 8 30..
So we had about half an hour to shoot. Where the sun was sinking below the horizon. We re so excited. It is so how do you work fast would alter the area you re shooting.
It is completely overflowing with people it s very populated. How how do you get those kind of intimate photos. Well it s pretty easy you can just crop. Them out you can also kind of strategically place your couple right in front of the people and then you can kinda like wiggle your camera around to try to get as many people behind them as possible and disguise them that way we re into a walking shot.
Which is one of my favorite super cute. We re gonna start out where they re just holding hands and looking at me then we ll go back. We do folding in girl looking at me guilin get the girl or queen and a spinner. If you ve got a few times in the wide shots close ups verticals.
It s all the same kind of pose. But it s going to look at the leaves and wrinkles you re getting a lot of right and even it s like sarah you can maybe you re one step forward and then mateus ear 179th and also that will help me be able to like cover more people if so it looks very like we re on the ridge and walk yep perfect. So that i can get all these other women so versatility in a location is so important..
I think the brooklyn bridge its iconic makes sense with a couple story. But also because it s a very versatile location. I can do wide shots with the full bridge in the background. I can do closer up shots of the couple where the city is melts into the background and just blocks away is washington street.
Which you have the beautiful brick ground. And then you have the manhattan bridge in the background. And that s another very iconic area and just in terms of proximity that location is perfect because they re just ten minutes away with most clients they happen to have their photo taken other than maybe their senior portraits in high school and their engagement. Shoot is the first time they ve taken photos together professionally.
But for the sake of the tutorial. I started them off in a very standard post. I think you don t rest here face together perfect like these little monkey. Even these little moments are like you signature too so just always have your finger outlet.
I have never worked with them before so even though. I know that they do shoot in front of a camera. All the time..
I still wanted to get a feel for how i would photograph if i m gonna be a wrap your arms around your waist again to snuggle in really close. Yes perfect perfect record beautiful yep. And it s airless down beautiful. And then the jacket and then let s down again to became for us.
Okay. Now do you like eskimo kisses. Again yeah. It s cute the like they bring your face in just a tiny bit and then arch your back you feel like it s got to snap.
But it s fine so next up is post processing editing and sending them off to your clients. So. I love to have a quick turnaround time of at least two days even for some of my favorite print shoots. Because i just want to be able to have it done sent off so i can move on to my next project.
So i use adobe lightroom. I m either on my hp z. Book or my macbook pro..
I m going to be using my red letter days adobe preset pack. Which i will have links down below the pack is work presets total one black and white through color. I love the friday one which is probably what i m going to throw on these because friday is really warm and rosie. It s very beautiful these presets are great not only for wedding photographers.
But fashion bloggers. I made it with a lot of different kinds of tigers in mind next up is exporting. Them. I just do the standard whatever adobe has it s usually about all sizes are going to be like 20 megabytes or so big and then i use we transfer to send them up to my clients.
So you can have a quick turnaround type that is something that will set you apart from other photographers every everyone that was it that was the video. How are you feeling these photos turned me in soaked to you and make sure you go beautiful images download my site make sure to go please follow sarah from on youtube and she lives in new york see tune so if we want to live vicariously through either.
