Month tons of new mobile games come out and every month. Gamerx puts together a a list of the ones. Most worth trying hi folks.
It’s falcon and today game ranks. The best free ios and android games of october 2020. Starting off at number 10.
It’s mutiny. A pirate survival. Rpg.
Now. We’re basically talking about an rpg slash survival pvp. Mix.
It’s a top down game.
It’s got pretty good graphics. It’s definitely pleasing to look at sometimes a little busy and not necessarily specifically because there’s a lot going on. But sometimes textures feel a little busy for me that being said.
It is a pretty straightforward game as far as controls. You’ve got an on screen joystick you can use a dagger you can use a gun you can craft you can talk. I mean you pretty much got the basics of what you would expect out of some kind of pirate game.
That is also classified as an rpg and also brings in a lot of survival elements there is resource management. Crafting honestly it’s a fun game i would give it a shot it’s out on ios and android right now at number nine is swordmaster story and action slash gotcha slash idol game that definitely brings a lot of hack and slash action. But it also brings in a few other elements like a guild system raids a large number of different heroes uh.
Some of them are familiar some of them are original all of them are addressed as sexily as possible in case that’s a thing that you’re looking for in your games. It’s not necessarily the thing that makes me say if a game is good or not. But i know that some people care about that just giving you the heads up this is maybe one that you might want to look that way for um.
There is a story.
But i’m not gonna pretend that like the story is the main reason to play here. It’s a hack and slash. It’s a pretty good hack and slash.
I enjoyed it it’s out on ios and android right now at number eight is final order. An mmo strategy game where your goal is to establish a military stronghold awaken kaiju slash mighty beasts whatever you want to call them and both attack with them and defend from other ones again it’s an mmo so you got to deal with other people and their strategies. Let’s be real as far as military strategy goes.
It’s pretty straightforward. What you get you have military units. You have vehicles etc.
Etc. It’s really the kaiju in my opinion. That sets this game apart.
It’s an mmo it’s a strategy game and you have giant monsters that you essentially have to weaponize against your opponents.
I think this is a dynamic that works really well in this kind of game on top of that you can bring in superheroes. I mean they’re not like licensed superheroes or anything but it all comes together into a pretty cohesive pretty darn enjoyable strategy game i think it’d probably work even if it wasn’t an mmo. But i do think that that helps keep it fresh over a longer period of time final order is currently out on android.
I’m sure it’ll be out on apple later keep an eye out at number seven. Is masketeer’s idol has fallen. Which is kind of a gotcha game and kind of a collect a thon you collect different masks.
Which give you different powers you assemble your team. I’m sorry to say assemble your team that’s just a thing that’s in every game. Like this they say that and all the promotional materials and the phrase just sticks in your head.
This one. I think does a decent job with customization you get skill trees on each of your characters. It’s also just a really good looking version of this i mean you do your battling you get your loot and a lot of the animations are actually satisfying sounds are great music is good backgrounds are good like i don’t really think i can tell you that there’s a lot here that you’ve never seen.
But the presentation is good the feature list is great and if it’s the type of thing you’re into it does offer a lot masketeer’s idol has fallen is out on ios and android now at number six is illusion connect.
Which is a real time strategy. Nine grid versus nine grid team strategy gam. Now what i like about this is it really does come off like a simplified version of a real time strategy game.
Something along the lines of fire emblem minus all of the movement. You’ve just got two teams which are on grids of nine you can create various arrangements of characters. And it works really well for the platform like a lot of the time.
You can’t really have a full blown strategy gam especially a player versus player one. But this one. I think does a great job.
There’s also a lot of different characters to collect you design a dream home for your characters to live in. I just generally found this to be a well constructed game now some of the graphics are a little hokey. Some of the sound effects of could really use some work.
However.
The general mechanics setup and presentation. The game. I like illusion connect is on ios and android now and number five is bts universe story.
And if there’s anything i don’t want to tell you is an alright game. It’s this i don’t want to talk about bts. I don’t want to see bts don’t ask me about bts that doesn’t mean.
It’s not a bad version of what this is in fact i find it a little bit annoying personally that it’s not the worst example of what it is if you’re interested in these sort of interactive stories. It’s actually a well illustrated well written version of that i i’m trying to be as utterly impartial as i can uh. I don’t want to play a bts game.
I think that should be made known so maybe somebody who does want to play it might be a little more favorable that said. It’s competent seems to be something that a bts fan would like and the art is actually pretty good i have to give them that it’s a interesting style and i think it works bts universe story is out on ios and android now and number four is creatures of aether this is a straightforward card game like you are playing a card game and i love the graphic style of it it’s a very simple very mega man inspired style that has you going through various different boards with different arrangements of cards you collect cards obviously. There are some roguelike elements and apparently the game itself features characters from a fighting game called rivals of aether.
I haven’t played it personally.
But if you’re a fan of that i’m sure this is a good companion because i did enjoy my time with it. But that being said like i think this completely stands on its own you don’t need to be a fan of another thing. I didn’t even know the other thing existed till.
I played this if anything it’s made me interested in the fighting game so perhaps. It’s a good use of your time creatures of aether is out on ios and android now and number three is badlanders a pretty darn good looter shooter that in a lot of respects. I think does the looter shooter.
Better than a lot of the aaa type games that do the exact same thing are the graphics as good no but they’re pretty impressive. I enjoy dropping in the story kind of an excuse to do a looter shooter game happens in the ruins of a once great civilization. Where you’re fighting other scavengers for loot that shouldn’t denigrate the game itself because in my opinion.
It takes all the conventions. We know about the looter shooter. And makes it condensed simplified a little bit and just overall makes the experience.
More in your face.
I guess is the best way to put it i enjoy it a lot i don’t love the micro transactions. I think that’s kind of par for the course with any game at this point. I’m sick of micro transactions.
But they did do a cool thing in which you can resell literally any micro transaction in case. It’s not something you want you can sell it at the actual price. And it’s worth what it would be worth so i mean that’s good.
I like that you’re not stuck with stuff that you buy with real money at least and the game like i said itself is a lot of fun badlanders is out on ios and android right now at number two is eve football pro evolution soccer 2021. This is an attempt to bring not necessarily the full pro evolution soccer experience to the phone. However.
It is a distilled version and they’ve tried to make it so that it feels very much like the same game. However compressed simplified not necessarily modified. Though.
Which is something that you see a lot of when they attempt to pour larger sports games to the phone also overall really the best part about this is the idea of playing pro evolution soccer against other people you can do that it works really well it’s not perfect.
Though it’s definitely less about the online and more about the ai. I would say that the ai is greatly improved from the previous version of this however. It’s still not quite as good as the console version.
I don’t know if that’s something that’s really going to happen anytime soon because they do change these games pretty significantly this is about as faithful as i think that you’re gonna get currently which is nice pro evolution soccer is of course one of the big soccer franchises out there. I enjoy it i am definitely. More along the lines of a fifa person that being said.

A new version of an older 6v6 shooter. It’s a great game graphically it looks way better um. It actually kind of gives me star fox 64 vibes.
Even though it is not even vaguely a similar type of game.
It’s a very different game. It’s a competitive 6v6 multiplayer mech battler and let me just say. It is a really enjoyable game.
It works really well again visuals. Very good everything is easy to tell the difference between this and that sometimes games like this can get a little hectic. And it doesn’t really feel visually hectic at least.
It does feel action packed. Though and there are a lot of games that are like this. But i would say that i’m definitely enjoying this more than others of this variety and may actually continue to play it on a longer term basis.
